....Why am I doing this again?

Ask me anything. Feel free to make a list of questions, or ask questions as we go.

Heres a good one. If you could take one thing from your favorite video game and make it better, what would you do and why?

Hmm.. There are a LOT of games I really like. It's pretty damn hard to choose.

But, I will have to go with Stellaris for this one. I have plenty of things I'd change myself, but will have to go with the one thing that irks me the most.

One thing I would change: The AI.

Why: The AI is outright dumb. It acts in completely predictable ways, is too easy to defeat, not to mention interaction with them is pretty limited in general. The AI in Stellaris, compared to other games, are severely lacking in terms of diversity in tactics used during wars, strategies(short and long term), build order, actions if they are in a Federation, +++.

What I would do: Upgrade it dramatically. I'd program it to be way more advanced. Make it much stronger in general. At Hard difficulty, on top of the 50% production bonus, would gain a slight bonus to ship and army stats. On Insane, 2x that of Hard bonuses, alongside the 20% chance that each civilization you meet are Fanatical Purifiers, with an Advanced Start. I'd make the AI into a true foe to be reckoned with. Also add a lot of specific options for AI personalities. Which types spawn, which don't, etc. I'd make the AI much more malleable towards what you want them to be, but not everything.

Yo fam, why are you such literall (grammar) nazi? Did you not know that used to be my job here?

But really, what has gotten you to have more right wing views? Genuinely interested as I have been enjoying reading your posts in the Debate Pit (plus, just got back here from a long hiatus because work)

I used to be more Left-wing, that is correct.

What pushed me more to the Right were SJW's, feminists, transtrenders and Left-wing Corporate Legacy media. And the unwillingness to even talk to Right-wingers by Left-wingers, acting and behaving as if everyone that didn't agree with them were everything from a misogynist to a neo-Nazi.

Like with JonTron, it starting out similarly: People were crying out about people being even remotely Right of Stalin of being sexist, homophobic, racist, etc. I decided to talk to some of these people, ask questions on why they were sexist, racist, etc. I got everything from a complete unwillingness to answer to "Oh, he/she said X", which were a false statement, as he/she had never said that, not in that context anyway. After a while I decided to broaden the horizon so to speak, and look further into it. Then I came across the definition "identity politics" and the fact that a decent amount of people on the Left will literally politicize EVERYTHING. And as I was asking questions, inquiring about stuff, etc, these idiots decided to start calling me everything from a Holocaust denier to a neo-Nazi too. For wanting proper answers not to mention facts. I wanted to get to the bottom, find the context of what have been done, and said. And for that I've been called everything under the sun. It's a load of crap, really. Ad hominems, insults and slander won't get you ANYWHERE. It will only drive people away from your cause, and further indoctrinate people on your side into being more fanatical and rabid.

Oh, and get this: Apparently, using the word "retarded" is considered "slandering the disabled". And bringing the facts to the table in a reasonable manner is considered slandering the trans community. Seeing the sheer amount of intellectual dishonesty, cognitive dissonance and call for censorship of reasonable people not to mention ideas made me want to distance myself from these morons. The vast majority of this garbage came from the Left. It is still coming from the Left.

I didn't really become much active or interested in politics until around March last year. I still had Facebook back then, and decided to talk with an old friend of mine from the UK. It's the usual "Hey, long time no see!" stuff, yanno. We talked for about two hours about stuff that's happened before Brexit were mentioned. And I heard a name: Nigel Farage. I decided to look the guy up, and boy were I surprised when the first video were a compilation of him standing in the European Parliament, giving them shit directly to their faces on what they have done and are continuing to do. It was beautiful as all hell. I instantly got a bro-crush on Nigel, so I decided to look Brexit into detail. A lot of detail.

As I was looking, I found more and more insanity done by the EU. The UK was starting to become a shithole for ordinary British citizens. Everything from the soon to be Muslim majority population in London to the Rotherham child trafficking and exploitation ring. All by Muslims. And the police didn't do jack shit about it. And the LUNATIC that is Sadiq Khan, not to mention France's PM, Macron. "Terror is part and parcel of daily life in a large city"? What insanity is this? I look at Tokyo in Japan, and do you know what I see? Zero terrorism. Zero extremism. Zero religious extremism. The Japanese crack down HARD on shit they don't like, and they are not afraid to punish the family of a foreign criminal.

Here's a short list over things I've seen so far.

Brexit.

Trump winning the Presidency.

Marine Le Pen sitting on 34% of the vote in France.

Geert Wilders causing his opponents to lose some 40+ seats, by trolling the everliving shit out of the people in Parliament over there.

The British Pound continuing to be strong despite the drop in value.

DOW Jones sitting on what, 22,000 now?.

Poland and Hungary blatantly saying no to "migrants".

1500% increase in rape and a 300% increase in other crimes in Sweden. Sweden is the world's second highest in rape, only after a country in South Africa. If you can guess the ethnicity and/or race of the people who are the direct cause of this insane crime rise, 10 points for you.

Oslo, our capital, is seeing one group in particular standing behind a LOT of the crime in general. If you guessed ethnic Norwegians, you are wrong. In 9 out of 10 cases of rape, there is a "migrant" as the assailant and a native Norwegian woman as the victim.

Tommy Robinson and his FAMILY getting harassed for speaking out. Hell, we have video evidence of a dozen or so police officers harassing his CHILDREN.

Donald Trump being called everything under the sun: Sexist, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, +++, you name it. And yet, I see zero actual intolerance from his side.

I could go way more into detail, but that's the gist of it.

TL;DR: The Left pushed me to the Right with their identity politics garbage.

I see. I have actually never been more on the left side, but I have started being drawn a bit closer to the center, at least under this political climate. But I know quite a few others who are left or used to be left who are also getting sick of this bullshit, so there is hope ;)

You get me right there. Nigel is the best thing that happened to politics.

My sympathies. As someone from Iceland who looks at Norway as a big brother nation, I wish all the best for your nation in handling this crisis.

I wish to ask you this then, which might be a bit even deeper into darker politics, what was your reaction to Breivik?
When the nutter started killing people, you might think he would have done a good job at making the right look completely bad and unappealing. Did that somehow affect your view on right wingers or get you more politically active?

Are there any fears that under the circumstances that Norway is starting to face (hopefully it will never become like Sweden), that there will be another Breivik?

The best politician is someone who doesn't want to be one, one whose background is not that of politics. One who ended up being one, despite his or her hatred for politics. Look at Nigel and Trump. Two of the best and funniest things to happen to politics in a long time. The Left is going insane by their shenanigans. Politics are FUN with these kind of people around. Stirring up the pot like all hell. Being NORMAL people in politics is one hell'uva fun ride. And boy does Nigel like to throw shit at them directly in the face. Oh, and Geert Wilders too, from the Netherlands. I recommend checking him out if you haven't already. He's a fun chap too, especially when he talks shit in Parliament over there.

Anders Behring Breivik is as insane as insane people goes. He's a mass murderer, and I have zero sympathy for the guy. The fucker SMILED as he was driven by a police car past reporters and journalists. Breivik is the first in our entire history to be a mass murderer. Our country let alone Scandinavia have never seen this level of blatant murder. Ever. Quite frankly, the criminal system still doesn't know how to handle it. Crime have been slowly decreasing over the years. Murder is damn rare.

And no, it didn't lessen the appeal of the Right-wing. You have terrorists, murderers, mass murderers and criminals across the entire political spectrum. It's wrong to condemn one side if I don't also condemn all the others. it's wrong to judge one side when the others have the same crap as well. The Right have morons, the same way the Center and Left does. Different ways of being stupid, but stupid none the less.
