movies/tv Hoping The Shape of Water is the big Oscar winner(why?)

I'm a fan of high quality horror and monster movies. And films like Jaws, Silence of The Lambs, The Exorcist, and Rosemary's Baby have won Oscars before. I'm hoping The Shape of Water wins big this year, and I hope Get Out is a big Oscar nomniee(at least for Picture and Screenplay) maybe this will make Universal realize how horrible their direction has been in their poor attempts to create a cinematic universe(Dracula Untold and The Mummy).

If Universal really wants to create a powerful cinematic dark universe, they should hire Guillermo Del Toro, Alfonso Cuauron and Alejandro Gonzales Ineritu as The Godfather's and heads of the writers room. Or just leave the classic monsters alone, one or the other.

 

in other words hire better people then Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan.

 

The Mummy was the worst film I have seen all year.
