Narcissus 355 March 8, 2018 Share March 8, 2018 I don't mind conspiracy theories unless they get so far out of hand that they discredit the theories that are actually believable. Unfortunately there are some people with too much time on their hands and they just dream up all the horse crap their minds can summon up, or deliberately misinterpret the obvious and present it all as 'carefully covered up' fact. EpicEnergy 23,224 February 1, 2020 Share February 1, 2020 I dislike conspiracy theories, as I think they have little ground in reality. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Rebel the Wolfgirl 5,605 February 1, 2020 Share February 1, 2020 I take a more pragmatic approach to conspiracy theories: most are rooted in the establishment (since they're connected by a common thread of a vague, powerful society and/or species controlling things) and, when taken seriously, encourage paranoia and apolitical stances with the eventual goal of eliminating ideas that the status quo would be threatened by. Others are rooted in real-world problems that are covered in fringe ideas and red herrings that would reach the same eventual goal - a stagnant status quo and little dissent from the populace.
