ODE TO A MARY SUE

Oh Mary Sue, oh Mary Sue,

you realize not what you do

when you show off with your power true,

to me, you're only phoenix poo.

 

To Mary Sue, I do decree,

if playing in my game, you'll be,

then please don't argue rules with me

I'm running this, not you, you see.

 

You Mary Sue, you take the cake,

(and anything else I'd care to bake)

But fie on thee, if you think it's jake

to take the profit others would make.

 

Dear Mary Sue, your temper's showing

your face is positively glowing,

especially, since now you're knowing

to the trash can, your character's going.

 

If you can give some flaws a try,

and make your OC so it MIGHT die,

and maybe not cast magic AND fly?

Then Mary Sue, you shall deny.

 

But chances are, you just don't care;

you love your powers and demand your flair,

you have no want for teamwork's share...

to let you play just wouldn't be fair.

 

So, if you want a game that's true,

and players to enjoy you,

then take my word on what to do...
