Would it benefit Hasbro to go back in time with new MLP incarnations?

In an era of technology and everything animation produced digitally or in CGI, could Hasbro bring a sense of nostalgia and a breath of fresh air if they continued the 80's nostalgia trend from their Retro toyline and brought the concept back to their animation, by doing it with their next MLP incarnation, in a traditionally animated style?

You can still do traditional style animation digitally. That's why there's software like Toon Boom Harmony and TVPaint.

But yes, I would love to see an MLP show (provided it's good) that is animated frame by frame.

Hasbro is known for going backwards in there thinking, but they actually have to be smart to come up with time travel
