I was amazed I didn't see any mention of this anywhere. As soon as I saw it I recognized them as being real and then had to check. We can read them according to the "Runic Alphabet."

Yeah it's meant as just an easter egg I'm sure, but if you want to look at it CANONically, it raises some interesting questions, such as, is there an old connection between our world and Equestria?
