ManaMinori 4,149 February 21, 2019 Share February 21, 2019 (edited) Now that FiM is reaching the end of its rainbow, I have to wonder if any of the fans in this community are more apt to reflect on not only where FiM and its fandom has gotten them in their lives- what creative or social skillsets they've managed to learn from or inspired by others in this fandom, to get them where they are today, but also- reflection on how they view the past MLP generations- the older gens that- without their existence, wouldn't have led to FiM ever being created. Most of us know that Faust- the creator of g4- had her childhood with the g1 ponies (created by Bonnie Zacherle), and cherished them enough to draw upon that in her adult life, to create these wonderful characters that spawned this community of both young and old, male and female. Are there any fans of this generation who will be reflective on what came before, and perhaps adopt a new respect for the pony gens that made up the roots of this fandom's tree of harmony? Partialgeek514 5,016 February 23, 2019 Share February 23, 2019 I've reflected on these kinds of things too. Although I don't particularly enjoy the older gens that much, I respect them in that they did lead up to G4 and the creators of each gen put in a lot of effort. MLP has actually made me want to get into the animation industry. Even if most children's cartoons aren't something I'd watch regularly, I love the idea of creating something for children to enjoy, and hopefully their parents too!
