It was an early morning in the small town of Ponyville, when a young mare found herself there from some other place she had been. The mare's name was Alice Lidell, but she had the appearance of one of the residents of Ponyville, one Pinkie Pie. She was dressed in boots, a beige dress with a black corset over the top. She had a somewhat mangy tabby cat sitting next to her. "I do not recognize this place from any of the doors" Alice would say to the cat, who just grinned and replied "Indeed Alice dear, but I have a feeling, we have nothing to fear" and just like that, they were off, exploring the town.

Kronos was wandering around the town of Ponyville, seeing as Princess Twilight didn’t assign any tasks for him today......yet. He scoped around town looking at restaurants, shops, and mostly at the other mares. He pulled out his signature guitassboard, which is a triple-necked electric guitar-bass-keyboard hybrid, and started playing some songs. (Though, admittedly, he was trying to woo some of the female residents there, which wasn’t really working). 

 

Suddenly, he saw a pony that looked similar to Pinkie Pie, so he just assumed it was her. Though, when he saw her, she looked like her depressed form. Being the friend that he is, he walked up to her and, without regarding the weird cat next to her, asked, “Hey, Pinkie Pie, what up? Why you look so gloomy today? Did you fail to make someone smile again?”

Alice would look at him "I'm sorry, but I am not this..Pinkie Pie that you speak of" she says "My name is Alice Lidell" she would say to him "why did you call me that other girls' name?" she asks, looking at him "Does she look like me?" she asks, then Cheshire would looks at her "Well you certainly don't look like your human self, dear Alice" the cat would say.

Kronos was initially startled by the cat around the familiar pony’s shoulder. 

“As a matter of fact,” Kronos began to reply after recovering from his shock, “Your stature, coat color, even the way your mane droops over to the side makes you a spitting image of Pinkie Pie when she becomes depressed. By the way, who or what in Equestria is THAT!?” 

Kronos gestured over to that cat over the pink pony’s shoulders.

She would blink "Well first of all, this is Cheshire Cat, or just Chess" she says, petting the cat "He acts as a sort of guide for me" she would say and look around "So I suppose I see how others could mistake me for her, though I am not her" she would say, still petting Cheshire.

“Ahh, I see,” Kronos replied, “Well, Ms. Lud-, Lid-.....Alice, since you seem new around here, let me be the first to point out a few places of interest to you.” 

He proceeded to point out key buildings round Ponyville such as Twilight’s castle, the Town Hall, Sugarcube Corner and the two schools. 

“I’d personally recommend making a visit to the Town Hall first and talking to the Mayor of Ponyville, Mayor Mare, just to get yourself situated around here. After that, if she has time, I might be able to introduce you to Princess Twilight or show you around other places.” 

He proceeded to walk towards the Town Hall and gestured to Alice to follow him over.

Alice would nod and begin following the stallion "A mayor? Hmm, I suppose that would be my first step" she would say "and then this Princess Twilight? Is she a good ruler?" she asks "Where I am from, the ruler was a tyrant and evil"

“Oh, this place has had it’s fair share of would-be tyrants and rulers,” Kronos replied, “but Princess Twilight is known as the Princess of Friendship around here, so you have nothing to worry about. As far as the other rulers, one is a sun deity, one is a moon deity, and the last is a princess of love.” He then chuckled to himself before continuing, “There were a few evil rulers back in the day, but they’re has-beens. They kind of fell of the radar for a while and even then, there are a select few ponies here who protect these lands and they are extremely powerful, yours truly included.”

 

They then entered the Town Hall where Mayor Mare was organizing paperwork as per usual. 

 

“Mornin’, Mayor Mare,” Kronos greeted, “How’s morning work treating you?”

 

”Oh, you know, the usual,” the gray-maned mare replied with multiple stacks of paperwork littering her desk before noticing the pink pony behind him, “Oh, Pinkamena, are you alright?”

 

”Actually, Mayor,” Kronos retorted quickly before going to whisper to her, “That ain’t Pinkie Pie.”

 

”Oh, then who is she?”

 

”She goes by Alice Lidwell or something like that and she has a weird-looking cat on her back.”

 

”Oh, a newcomer?”

 

”Yeah and I was kinda hoping you could probably get her registered around here or something.”

 

”Well then, I’ll need to get this new mare over here to sign some paperwork and get her hoof prints.” She then turned towards Alice, “My dear, could you come over here. We have some official mannerisms to discuss.”

Alice would nod as she went over to the mayor "Alice Lidell, is my name, so the stallion over there is mostly correct" she would say "And this is Cheshire Cat or Chess for short" she would explain, looking through the paperwork

“Well,” Mayor Mare replied to Alice with a grin and slight chuckle, “Your cat doesn’t need to register for citizenship. Just a ‘Lost Pet’ identification paper.” She then proceeded to pull out a few papers. 

“I just need you to sign these. Just to answer some frequently asked questions about these papers: This is an identification paper which requires your signature and hoof print. This is a citizenship paper which only needs a signature. This one is to identify your pet should it get lost so I’ll need a paw print as well as a photo. And this is a Cutie Mark identification paper to show us your talent and where your talents would be useful.”

 

”I know it’s a lot to take in,” Kronos tells Alice reassuredly, “But after this, all official things around here become quick and easy.”

"Well Chess isn't really a pet, but I suppose it's better safe than sorry" he says "Wouldn't want the pound picking him up, after mistaking him for a stray" she would say, looking over the forms and signing them "Alright, that's that done" she would say, petting Chess "Sorry Cat, but I don't want to lose you"

Cheshire just shrugged a little and purred, curled up on her back.

“Thanks, Mayor Mare.” Kronos told the mayor as Alice finished the last of the paperwork. 

 

“Anything for you, Mr. Kronos.” Mayor Mare replied with a wink. 

 

After they left the town hall, Kronos asked Alice, “So, you, uh, interested in doing or seeing anything else out here in Ponyville? Or maybe you wanna check out some other city here in Equestria?”

"Well you said we could go see this Princess Twilight" she reminds him with a small smile "So shall we go see her?" she would ask "And I suppose I better look for somewhere to stay that isn't the streets"

“Well,” Kronos replied to Alice, “Princess Twilight’s castle isn’t that difficult to find. It’s literally the only castle around this town and it’s huge, and frankly shaped like a very obscene hand gesture according to some folks. Also, speaking of the castle, I’m sure with it’s sheer size, there’s bound to be some room in there for you that she’ll be willing to let you use. Trust me, I have my own quarters there, and I’ve seen many more available rooms, although their possible uses in the future I’m not too sure about.”

 

After a few minutes strolling in, they got to the front doors of the castle. Kronos knocked on the huge doors of the crystal structure. He waited for a few minutes. The then cracked open the door and slowly creaked it open. 

 

“Hello,” he called out, “Princess? Spike? Your little merc is here. I got you a new guest. Starlight? Anyone? Huh, I guess they’re all busy.”

He guides Alice through the castle’s many corridors. 

“....And honestly, I have no idea what’s behind half of these doors.” He tells her as he opens another door revealing a broom closet with a few small blob creatures crawling out. “How many broom closets are in here?”

He finally stumbled upon a decent bedroom. 

“Ah, this should do for now until you find yourself a suitable housing and source of income here. Now, feel free to settle yourself in and I’ll look into the Ponyville job board to find someplace where your talents could be of use.”

He then left behind a few small and spherical blob creatures no shorter than six inches tall with horns. 

“Now, guys,” he told Alice, “These little critters are called Blobs. They have sufficient intelligence to perform advanced tasks and complex conversation. They’ll keep you company.”

With that, he left Alice and Chess to the blobs, who simply looked at her with a blank stare before greeting her “Hewwo.”

Alice chuckles a little as they'd wander through the hallways, and as Kronos would remark about not even knowing what was behind most of those doors, Alice would make a remark in response "Sounds a lot like the place in Wonderland called "The Fortress of Doors"" she would say "There were some that could easily be gotten into, how-ever, some needed you to be the size of a mouse to get through, they were that small." she says "Or maybe a rabbit, slightly bigger"

As she would then hear what the things were that Kronos left behind, and then would wave to him before he left her and Chess alone with the blobs "Uhm..hello, well could you please make a cat bed for my friend here?" she would ask "then maybe get me some tea, chamomile is preferred"

The blobs at first didn’t understand what she was saying, as their horns contorted into question mark shapes. Then one of them blubbered to the others in their normal, fast-paced blob-babbling language. 

“Gagawatekamakashinewigodo?”

”Bablanaplagadapokinaroee.”

”Oh, okay.”

The blobs then scuttled around in different directions. One came back with a tray holding a tea set. The other two came back with what looked to be Spike’s old bed that looked like it was meant for dogs. When they finished bringing the requested items, they squished themselves around in excitement of their new friends and started wriggling their way towards Alice. When they got close to her, they simply looked up and tilted their.....well, themselves sideways in curiosity and it appeared as if one was attempting to sniff at Chess.

Chess would playfully bat at the blob before he went over to the bed, happy for somewhere soft to curl up, though he'd be likely to just snuggle in bed with Alice. Meanwhile Alice would thank  the blobs and take her tea, sipping on it "I might need to ask if there's a way to restore Chess to his former glory"
