The Thing (1982) what is the correct ending?

It's time to vote on which ending you think is canon for the 1982 version of The Thing. 

Now, we see both Childs and Mac in the last scene but the question is are they human or not?

this leaves four possible endings to the movie and you vote on which one you think is the case..

I will give a brief explanation on how each ending is possible and you decide which one you believe to be the case here..

 

Ending #1.  Child is human but Mac is a Thing. 

At some point off screen and unknown to us Mac was attacked and transformed into a Thing.  Perhaps after his fight with the Thing he had no weapons left to defend himself and some part of the Thing attacked, maybe he faked his blood test by switching with someone he knew was human etc but at SOME point in the movie Mac was assimilated. Childs on the other hand was and still is human he wasn't assimilated by The Thing he really did see Blair Thing and ran off to confront it only to lose sight of it and get lost outside for a while. Mac Thing is simply waiting for Childs to lower his guard so it can attack him and is only in check because Childs has the flamethrower for now...

Ending #2. Mac is human but Childs is a Thing. Mac battled with and defeated the monster Thing just as we saw in the movie. Childs however did not survive the adventure and after being left alone was ambushed by The very same Thing before Mac defeated it. Childs Thing is unsure if Mac has any other "surprises" weapons, etc and thus is pretending to be human until it can be sure Mac can be assimilated and will attack once Mac is no longer a possible threat. 

 

Ending#3. BOTH Mac and Childs are still human and both of their stories are factually true of surviving against The Thing. Mac's adventure is exactly as we see in the movie and as stated above in a previous ending Childs really did get lost chasing after The Thing outside. Survival is unlikely as both will likely freeze to death....

 

Ending #4. Both of Mac and Childs are Things. How is this possible and if both are Things why would both of them keep up the charade to each other?  Two possible reasons why. #1. Each "Thing" is only aware of itself and other Things it has created through Assimilation and thus since Childs and Mac were assimilated at different points and by possibly different Things each one doesn't know the other one is a Thing and thus is keeping up appearances in front of they believe to be a human as is the case in the other endings only when one Thing tries to attack the "human" they will learn their mistake and back off.

Possibility #2. for this ending . Both Things are aware of each other but have realized just how close the humans were to figuring them out and thus are simply practicing with each other to improve upon appearances of being human until they can both freeze then thaw out later on when the next humans arrive at their location whenever that might be.

I think they are both human. Otherwise, if one was the thing then it would have attacked.
