The Ralph Bakshi animated movie, "Wizards"

Firstly, I know that this movie is set on a post apocalyptic far future Earth, but that's not the focus for this what-if idea. It's more the focus on the "Magic vs Technology" aspect of the movie and also have a conflict in which the ponies of ponyland end up witnessing the dark aspects of Humanity. The Dark aspects of Megan's kin,

like the villain of the plot would be mostly be similar to BlackWolf...

Except where he got those pieces of such advanced technology (at least "advanced" according to pony standards), he didn't get them from ancient ruins, he instead stole the technology from Megan's world. Sent spies and minions to steal military technology from the Human world and plans to use it to conquer Ponyland and eventually wage war against mankind.

And thus begins a war over the fate of Ponyland

Now imagine how the ponies would react and view Megan once it become clear that this "Dark" magic came from the hand of her species. How they would react when they find out what Human faction this villain just like BlackWolf is basing his regime upon:

So how do you think the ponies are going to view Megan when they learn all of this evil came from her race. The fact that her race were the ones that crafted the weapons that this villain is now wielding and the ideology he has adopted being one thought up from Human minds.

Hmm, as someone who quite likes both Wizards and MLP G1, I'd have to say that the visual style and dark themes of the film line up with early MLP very well, and I think that while it's a bit darker than MLP, it's not hard to imagine something like that happening.

I think the ponies would most likely accept Megan still, especially Fizzy, but I think Gusty in particular would need a bit of convincing.
