Having Queen Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow as the final antagonists made more sense than Grogar

While I don’t approve of Grogar turning out to be Discord, it made more sense for them to be the final antagonists because they had personal connections with the Mane 6. Maybe if Grogar was mentioned more throughout the series, having him as the final antagonist would make more sense. I know he was mentioned by Twilight in the Season 7 episode, A Flurry of Emotions, but maybe if they built him up more throughout the series, it would’ve been a better payoff. Remember, I’m talking about the REAL Grogar, not Discord posing as Grogar. And before anyone makes the assumption that Grogar was just a myth, remember that his bewitching bell exists in G4, which means he did exist a long time ago.

'Grogar' was a catalyst to unite them. They were the antagonists. That is the clever part of the clever part, that they wouldn't be working together without 'Grogar'. They could have pulled off the same with the real Grogar. It might also have been Discord himself instead of his Grogar disguise and it would make more sense because he could have thrown his intention to seed chaos around. His colleagues might simply agree because he was helping and planned to betray him since the beginning. Wouldn't change a thing and it would work better. But that is me, in retrospective and sitting in front of my computer without a megacorporation overlord and a bunch of different parts to fit together.
