Magitronique 48 November 22 Share November 22 My Favourite Mane 6 Pony Applejack How did you find MLP Forums? It's been on my radar for a looooong time, first heard of it in like... 2016, I think? Around the time Poniverse took over running Ponyville Live. I was curious a few months ago and started looking into how many pony forums were still kicking (y'know, as one does), remembered this place existed and was very pleasantly surprised to see it going as strong as it is. How you became a fan of My Little Pony I think it's kinda funny that I ended up getting into it on my own, all way back in 2012, very much in spite of the hea-vy insistence of my friends at the time (for the youngin's and johnny-come-latelys, it was very much en vogue back then to bug your friends to death about watching the show). They tried everything from "just listen to this one fan song!" to "the songs are actually pretty good I swear" to "bro check it out dude! this pony ab-so-lutely deletes this bear!" and absolutely none of it landed. I gave the usual dismissals - "it's girly!", "y'all are weird for being so into this cartoon," "no." Late that year I found myself in the middle of a pret-ty nasty depression spell, and desperate for some kind of distraction, decided on a complete lark to give it a shot. Figured "well, there's nothing to lose, might as well." Chose an episode at random - happened to land on Owl's Well That Ends Well, which I think is a pretty uncommon first episode lol. It turned out to be what I needed exactly when I needed it, and found myself absolutely enchanted by the show. There were only two seasons at that point and, having all the free time in the world, binged the whole thing in less than two days. The rest is history! hey hi hello, horse forum dwellers! i'm magi and i'm kiiiiiinda struggling to figure out what to put in this part, but don't worry I'll figure it out! it'll be like the world's least funny and most mundane internet improv session! i've been around in the fandom for a long time now, but have mostly just kinda Existed Quietly outside of a handful of stints working on Several Pony Websites You've Never Heard Of That (Mostly) No Longer Exist. figured it might be fun after, y'know, 12 years to interact more with the community. maybe even (gasp!) try Making Horse Friends with Fellow Horse People™, like I vaguely remember them doing on that one show with the ponies in it. seems like it might be fun! that's about all i've got! thanks for sticking around 'til the end of my Cool Introduction Post if you, y'know, actually read the whole thing. i swear i wasn't actively gunning for the Most Unnecessarily Long Introduction Award lmao. buuuuut if i did happen to win that'd be pretty cool!
