This is one of the latest MLP fan arts I've worked on, and probably the last one I came close to finishing. According to IbisPaint I started it on February 21 and updated it for the last time on February 23, 2025, 9 months ago. Features Twilight Sparkle and Potion Nova from Pony Life. Back in October I still thought about finishing it, but at that point I think it was already too late, some small but significant changes have already been made to my drawing style and this one in specific was already too outdated for it, so I decided to leave it incomplete and share it exclusively here.

Thank you. It is incomplete, you can notice by the lack of shading and lighting coloring in certain parts such as Potion Nova's hair, their eyes, mouths, etc. It was also meant to have a background, with items and more.

Now this was the true final MLP fan art I've completed. I know I said here before that there was another art that I came close to finishing, but I was exclusively referring to the normal / casual arts that I always make only. This one was made for this Forum's March Art Contest on March 31, 2025 (so far, the latest art contest as well). At that contest there was a gif featuring a lot of characters, and if you paused the gif at a specific character, you would have to draw that character. The character I got was Spitfire, so the drawing features her. 

So yes, this was pretty much my final MLP fan art. Even though it wasn't made casually but for a contest, but I'm satisfied, you can see that it's very close to my current style, despite not featuring the updates I made later on in 2025.

These are two of the final Pony arts I made. Both feature my original characters as ponies. This first one is my two sisters characters (still no name for them, even though they exist since 2024) with a very simple drawing of my other character, Mary. The meaning behind this drawing is that I made it for a post here in the forum where people were making arts of their Pony OCs following this same very simple style. I don't know or remember what was the reason for it, if it was some kind of a trend or meme in the MLP community at the time or something else, but I decided to do one myself as well, but of course, featuring more "complex" drawing somehow. Made on March 9, 2025. (unfortunately, I'm too lazy to find the original in my post history, sorry),

This one is a sketch of Angeliza Dreamcory (the main character in my profile) in pony form. It was made on May 9, 2025. At the time, I was still working on the design for this character, it wasn't complete. So for that reason, of course in this drawing I used one of her prototype designs as basis for this pony form. She actually looks very similar to how she looks in this art from February 20, 2025.

Made on August 5, 2025. This was my definitive final Pony art. It's just a sketch, but I never made another pony art or sketch after this one, so it was indeed thr last one. Features my original characters Mary and Angeliza Dreamcory (now with her updated final design) as ponies.

With this you can notice some sort of a decline in my pony arts, which is something I'll be talking later in the final posts of my "Miscellaneous Art" Thread.

So, this was the last one, now I did make more pony arts before and after this one. But they were either gifts or comissions for someone, so I don't consider them as part of my collection, only tbe normal drawings I like to do.

But that doesn't mean this is over already, I still have some art to show, related to a MLP project I was working all the way back from the end of 2023 to the middle of 2024.

Is Spitfire leading those pegasi or is she flying away from them?  That uniform color is similar to the outfit of one of my Star Wars:  The Old Republic OCs.  I've pictured Spitfire in action on the fields of Balmorra, but the background is very similar to Voss.

She's leading them. The uniform was designed by me for this art in specific. No real reference or inspiration in mind as far as I remember.

Hi. Starting from tomorrow I'll be sharing here everything about my canceled MLP project. The fan comic "My Little Pony The Cursed World", a comic that I announced during the middle of 2024 and started working on since the end of 2023. I'll be showing all of the characters, concept arts, sketches and even story elements that I worked on for this comic. Unfortunately there will be almost no pages to be shown, as I was making a lot of pages for the first chapter at the time, but they were all saved only inside the Ibis Paint app, and I would later delete them from there with no backup because I didn't believe at the time that I would end up showing this content in the future. Only very few exceptions, but all of them were incomplete pages any way.

But there is still a lot of material to share here about this comic, especially because it went through 3 different phases of development, each one with their own concepts, thematics, stories and characters. So for that reason I'll be separating this into 3 posts, so I can make it easier to understand and also avoid making it too long by including everything in a single post. These are going be my final MLP / Pony art / fan-made related content I'll be sharing. After this, I'll have nothing left to show.

Everything About "My Little Pony The Cursed World". My Canceled MLP Fan Comic: Part 1 - Equestria Invaded

Hi, so as I promised, to complete my collection of Pony art content here, I'll be sharing everything regarding my canceled MLP fan comic. First, I'll talk about what was going to be the initial version of this comic and its story. From the very beginning, I always had two things in mind when working on this comic:

1 - Equestria being a planet, Ponies of Equestria meeting Ponies from another Planet.

2 - Revealing things and explaining mysteries that were never explored in the series.

The Characters going to space and having a adventure in a different planet is something I really wished to see in official series, you may remember some posts made here in the forum where I said “make a season where ponies go to space” something like that, that goes alongside with some unexplored interesting concepts.

Some of these unexplained concepts I think are very interesting are the fact that:

1- In the show there are horses, and they clearly aren't like Ponies.

2- No other being has the weird concept of cutie marks.

3- Ponies for some reason are the “main race” in Equestria and also their population is the biggest.

4- If Ponies are animals, then why do they take care of other animals as if they are pets?

5- Actually, other animals seen in the series do look like the real life versions of these same animals we see in real life (like the Horses I mentioned before), but the Ponies don't look like real Ponies or any other animal or creature we know in the real world.

Thinking about all of this gave me the idea of: Creating the concept of Ponies (Earth Ponies, Pegasi, Unicorns) actually not being ponies, but a alien race of horse-like creatures born in Equestria, but are actually descendents of the actual alien Pony race, the Alicorns. Alicorns came from a different planet, and gave origin to the 3 races of Ponies in Planet Equestria, then this resulted in what we see in the show. The comic would talk about this concept, below some images I made explaining it (November 11, 2023)

 

The Dark Alicorn next to Celestia in the left image was going to be villain of this comic, initially, he was meant to be the father of Celestia and Luna, but I would later change that for him to have no relation with the two (with the exception of being from the same race), I never thought in a name for him, so I will just call him “Evil Alicorn”.

Note that since I was always an artist primarily focused in drawing human or humanoid characters, I usually created a human design for the original characters first, then later made their pony designs based on these human designs. This is something that would continue into the final version of the comic. So on the left side is the first concept of this villain's design (October 21, 2023) then on the right side the pony design I made right after for the comic (October 29, 2023)

 

Colored concepts of his design and more, also him beating up Celestia and evin his death, there is a version of his design where he's white because he was going to have two forms, with the dark one resembling Nightmare Moon, and the white one Daybreaker (October 30 - November 19, 2023)

         

About this version of the story:

This version of the story was never developed so much, so I don't have much to talk about it, but there are things I think are interesting to say about it:

First, I thought about the name of the comic during this time being “My Little Pony Alicorn Force”, as the comic would be about 4 Alicorn protagonists (Twilight, Celestia, Luna and Cadance) fighting a Alicorn villain.

The role of the evil alicorn would be to invade Equestria in order to find a sacred place and dominate the planet.

The story would reveal that Celestia and Luna were originally sent to Equestria in order to dominate it, this evil Alicorn abandoned them when they were very young, so they forgot about him, but it was him who taught them to use their evil powers in order to dominate the planet, Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker would be revealed to be these dark powers.

But due to the creatures of Equestria being quite pacific and friendly, their evil powers became weaker, affecting and transforming them in Celestia and Luna, their forms with good powers (pretty much Power of Friendship origins), this would lead to their reign we all know of and then to the creation of the Ponies, divided in 3 races because the two weren't able to create new Alicorns.

This of course would be all in the past, now in the present, the story would be taking place right after “The Ending of the End” and before the time skip of “The Last Problem” 

The Evil Alicorn would invade Equestria after Twilight becomes the Ruler of Equestria and Celestia and Luna retire (so it would be actually after the events saw in the flashbacks of the final episode)

He would say that as he promised, after 2,500 years (can't remember why this time specifically) he would be returning to Equestria to see if Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker succeeded in dominating it and weren't defeated by strong creatures like Tirek, Discord, etc. After seeing that they failed, that the ponies live in peace with other creatures, and that the two sisters aren't even ruling anymore, The Evil Alicorn would get angry and use his army to defeat Twilight and force the ponies to work for him, as he would also like to find the sacred place, Skyros, a Alicorn base where Celestia and Luna lived for a while (I don't remember if Skyros is a lore element from G4 or G5, but I just decided to use it). Celestia and Luna would return to help Twilight, Cadance would help too, they would go in a adventure to find Skyros before the Evil Alicorn, while the Evil Alicorn himself and his army would be hunting them, a story concept inspired by the MLP 2017 movie, but with now all the 4 Alicorns being hunted, and not just Twilight, actually, Flurry Heart would also be hunted, also, a new Alicorn created by me would show up.

This new Alicorn would be the daughter of this Evil Pony, and she would help the 4 Alicorns to find Skyros and defeat the Evil Alicorn.

Concept arts of this original Alicorn character (December 19, 2023), unfortunately could not find one for a human design.

 

This version of the story pretty much ends here, I was still planning how it was going to be before I ended up changing everything, so I can't say anything beyond what was said here, the only thing I can say is that there would be a plot twist revealing that the Evil Alicorn comes from a evil group of Alicorns who rebelled against groups of Good Alicorns, the comic would make the reader think that all Alicorns are originally evil and that it was Equestria that made Celestia and Luna become good, but Celestia and Luna were always good, they were only raised by Evil Alicorns, giving them access to their evil forms. That's all.

For Part 1, that's all. The Next part will of course feature the Second Version of the story, which was more developed, and then after it the Third and Final version, which got even more development.

Everything About "My Little Pony The Cursed World". My Canceled MLP Fan Comic: Part 2 - Ponies in Space

Even though the original version of the story was going to talk about stuff from space and alien ponies etc, the story would still take place entirely on Equestria, the Ponies wouldn't go to space and a different planet. But this would change with the arrival of 2024, the beginning of the story would be taking place in Equestria, and the rest of it on a different planet. 

The title “Alicorn Force” was discarded and the comic remained unnamed during this time. The Evil Alicorn was discarded and most of the concepts of the original version of the comic were discarded as well. I pretty much started a whole new concept for the story, with only a few of the concepts from the 1st version continuing into the final version.

This 2nd version of the story was kinda the initial version of the 3rd final version, so there isn't much for me to talk about and I honestly don't remember very well about it, but I'll still show what I developed for this 2nd version as it's important for the 3rd part.

Here, the concepts regarding Celestia and Luna's past would still be considered, as you can see in some of the concept arts below.

  

Concept arts for some locations of the other planet, you can see that the 3rd location features buildings with a moon symbol and rivers that resemble Luna's mane. I can't say what was the relation of it with her though as I didn't develop it. (January 10, 2024)

These were mostly just ideas for the new and final version of the comic, during this time, I started to become more active here in the forum, I kinda stopped working on the comic for a while as I was more focused in other projects and was also spending a lot of my time here, so the development for the comic was kinda stagnant during this time. I would only resume the development of the comic extensively by the end of April 2024.

During this time, the concept of main characters being the Alicorns was still considered, but since the story was completely changed, this concept wouldn't last so long, the Evil Alicorn would be changed to a Female Alicorn.

        

Concept arts for the Evil Form of the Female Alicorn villain (May 9, May 15 & May 27, 2024)

The difference here, is that the Male Evil Alicorn from the first version of the story was going to be killed, this Female Alicorn wouldn't be killed, as she would be reversed to her good form in the end, just like Luna.

   

Concept arts for the Good form of the Female Alicorn villain. Includes her in that “Story Book” style seen in a few episodes from the show like the first parts of “Friendship is Magic” and “Twilight's Kingdom” (May 15 & May 27, 2024)

While for the new Good Alicorn who was originally the daughter of the Male Evil Alicorn in the First Version. Now she would be the sister of this Female Alicorn villain, a clear parallel to Celestia and Luna, this is where I had the idea of the new planet having parallels to Equestria that would be further worked into the final version of the story.

At the time I also thought about one thing, here I thought about the fan concept of Twilight, Cadance and Flurry Heart actually being “Equestrian Alicorns”, for me, when Twilight is transformed into a Alicorn in “Magical Mistery Cure”, it's Celestia who transforms her, because Ponies can't be Alicorns like Celestia or Luna are, they at best can be transformed into a Equestria variation of Alicorn that is different from the Alicorn type of Celestia and Luna, same thing for Cadance, while Flurry Heart is the first one who was born as 

A Equestrian Alicorn, she wasn't transformed into one like Cadance and Twilight, that's why Luna says “Equestria never saw the birth of an Alicorn before” in “The Crystalling”, she's right, but she wasn't talking about the same kind of Alicorn as the Royal Sisters.

I considered this concept, for that reason, giving Twilight a new transformation, “True Alicorn Twilight”, Twilight would become the same kind of Alicorn as Celestia and Luna throughout a Alicorn ritual, where she would need the help of Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Flurry Heart and the Good Alicorn sister.

The final battle was going to be between Twilight in this new form and the Alicorn Villain. Twilight would “lose” this new form, the Alicorn Villain would try to throw a huge power at her and try to destroy her along with Equestria. Twilight with all of her powers would try to stop it. The battle would end and she would have a peaceful talk with the Alicorn Villain, and they would become friends in the end.

If you ever watched the movie “Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods”, you may notice that the description I gave for the ending of this version of the story sounds just exactly like the ending of that movie, the reason is because, like I said, this was still a very early version of what was going to be the final concept I worked on for the story. So the ending for it was just copied from another story I like while I was still thinking about the new concepts and ideas I would use for this new version of the comic's story.

 

A also thought about reverting Twilight back into a Unicorn to become weaker. A concept that would continue into the final version. (May 9 & 12, 2024)

This is all for this second version. The Next third version will be the final part. Much longer, with a lot more concepts, characters, concept arts, story details, as it's the version of the comic that most came close to having at least one chapter finished, I had a lot of things established for the comic. That means the plans got bigger, with a lot more content. So expect a much longer post for the finale.

Everything About "My Little Pony The Cursed World". My Canceled MLP Fan Comic: Part 3 - The Cursed "Asian" Planet (Final)

I know the title sounds weird, but you'll understand why it's called like that, this has to be my favorite version of the story, I still really like the concepts and ideas I worked and planned for this version, for me they are very interesting and I would resume the development for the comic from this point if I was still interested in working in a MLP fan comic. This was the final version and I worked a lot on this one's concepts, story and characters to the point of coming close to finishing the first Chapter.

Redesigning Equestria

One of the first differences between this final version and the initial one is that this final version was not going to be before “The Last Problem” anymore, the final episode of FiM would be ignored, so it would no longer be a midquel to FiM, the reasons being, aside from giving me more freedom to tell the story I would like to tell, I was also considering my comic to be a completely different universe (quite obvious), with its own differences from what is saw in FiM, some of these differences being the visuals of some locals. 

FiM being a childish cartoon gives us backgrounds that are quite cartoonish, and some of these backgrounds were just hard for me to work it due to my art style not being compatible with the style of these backgrounds, I tried to adapt them, but some of them just didn't work for me, so instead, I preferred to completely redesign some places seen in the show, in order for them to suit my style more.

Asian World 

I know it sounds weird, but this is a part I loved. Originally, the other planet wasn't going to have a specific theme. But then I had the idea in my mind “what if I made the other Planet inspired by a part of the Real world?”, this is where I got the inspiration from. Instead of the other planet not being so different from Equestria, I decided to make it a contrast to Equestria's style with a European, Roman and overall Western approach. The other planet would have its style inspired by the Oriental (mostly Eastern) part of the world, this would also count for the characters and the concepts I would introduce in the story.

The New Characters, Locations and Elements would feature Japanese names. Of course I didn't know Japanese at the time (and I still don't) so I had to go beyond just the Google Translator to make sure that the names made sense. 

Concepts

Here I'll show what I worked on for the story and the concepts, I'll try to explain the primary concepts I had for this final version first.

The Villain Alicorn Sister would be called Shindabara (means “Dead Rose”), at least in her evil form, she would be related to nature. Like how Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker use some kind of armor resembling Knight armors. I also made Shindabara use armor, but this armor would be inspired by Samurais.

        

Concept arts for Shindabara. Like I said before, I also made human design because the ponies designs were made using human design as basis. (July 17, 23, August 2, 9 & 12, 2024)

Unicorn Twilight 

I would revert Twilight back into a unicorn again because the fact that she's now the ruler of Equestria would make Shindabara think that she's the strongest being in Equestria and that she could stop her plans, for this and other reasons, Shindabara sought to prevent future problems by learning a little about magic and casting a spell to prevent Celestia or another Alicorn from turning Twilight into an Alicorn again. Shindabara would be sure that Twilight wouldn't go to her planet to stop her plans if she was just a unicorn. Twilight being a unicorn again would also be my attempt to make the story nostalgic and somewhat similar to the adventures of the show's early seasons.

Concept for Twilight's detransformation. It's not an actual page, but just a concept reference for what was going to be the real page, that's why it's in black and white like a manga. The actual comic was going to be colored (June 26, 2024)

The Soul and Power of Spirit

As you may know, FiM focuses on the characters learning magical powers, magic stuff, the magic of friendship, etc. I had this idea of them learning spiritual powers, which was one of the main reasons for me to bring the asian thematic for the other planet, as the concepts of the powers of the soul and spiritual energy come mostly from the Oriental cultures (Chinese, Hindu, etc…) So this gave me the idea of Equestria being a planet where its inhabitants rely on the use of magical powers, while the inhabitants of the other planet would rely on the use of spiritual powers, despite both concepts existing in the two planets, which was one of the reasons for me to make this version of the story.

I believe that the concept of Spiritual Powers do exist canonically in the official series, but it's just almostly not explored at all, but you can see that it's there, especially when it comes to one being in particular.

The Tree of Harmony

To continue, I first need to talk about a theory that I was actually going to post here in the forum, but I gave up, so now I'll talk about it. Aside from the “Represents the Spirit of Loyalty, Laugher, etc” mentioned in “Friendship is Magic Part 2”. The Tree of Harmony shows multiple times in the series (at least from what I remember in G4) to actually rely on spiritual powers, and not magic, with magic only being a very small part of its abilities, most of what we see the tree doing don't seem to be magic related at all, but rather paranormal or spiritual things that we don't see any character in the series doing or using, such as

• Sensing the presence of the ponies, even those who are far from it, that's how Celestia and Luna were captured so precisely.
• It's technically immortal, as after losing its physical form, the tree revived in a new form after the student six summoned its spirit (separated by the elements of harmony)
• Can retrieve the energy stolen by Tirek and give it back to the ponies, yeah I know it was the Mane Six who did that, but none of them have this ability, who gave this ability to them? The Tree, it used them because it can't move out of its place, the Mane six can.
• Can use the energy accumulated by the harmony of the ponies to become stronger and bigger.
• Can control the plants from the Everfree Forest without any use of magic, and plants have energy.
• Can make a spiritual projection of itself (as we saw using the figure of Twilight) to communicate with others.

So the Tree of Harmony not only is a 100% living being, but also a being who relies completely on spiritual powers, only a few of its powers are magical, like the portals from G5 (a concept that I would use in the comic, as you'll see later).

I also consider the Tree to be the strongest being in all of Equestria, not only it's pretty much immortal but also shows some insane powers, giving a power to the Mane Six for them to easily defeat Tirek in his strongest form, and Opaline's Together Tree defeated her easily and destroyed her castle in a few seconds.

Now back to the comic, it was important for me to tell all this because these concepts would be used and explored in the comic. The Other Planet's Tree of Harmony would actually be stronger and specially a lot bigger than the Trees seen in G4 and G5, because as I explained, the Tree doesn't rely on magic, but on spiritual powers. This other planet and its inhabitants would be all about spiritual powers, so this made their Tree be stronger and much bigger when compared to Equestria's tree.

Stronger Deadly Tree of Harmony

The Problem with the other Planet is that something would mysteriously go wrong and make their Tree go through the same situation that Equestria's Tree of Harmony went in “Princess Twilight Sparkle”, but in this planet's case it would be worse, since their Tree is much bigger and stronger, the tree would be affecting the whole planet, pretty much slowly killing it by sucking all of its energy. The Tree would raise 4 new Trees, all of them would be dead, serving as an alert that there's something wrong (reference to the number 4 being considered a unlucky / cursed number in Japan), Shindabara would be aware about this, so solving this problem and saving her planet would be her goal. Her and other ponies from this planet would use spiritual powers against the ponies from Equestria.

Story

The story you already know, would take place a few months after the beginning of the reign of Twilight. 

Twilight would be tired from all the work she has done as the ruler of Equestria, she would miss the times when she was just the Princess of Friendship with her friends in Ponyville, during this time, the other planet shows up in the sky, Shindabara would somehow be aware of Twilight being the current ruler of Equestria, and also make her tree of harmony create a portal to that new tree of harmony from Equestria through some secret magic information.

Shindabara would then visit Equestria and disguise herself by transforming her appearance into a normal looking pony (The same technique used by Princess Luna in “Luna Eclipsed”, where Luna changes her appearance into Nightmare Moon to scare the kids)

Twilight would be sleeping during Shinbara's visit due to her feeling too tired from her work. Shindabara would then use this as an opportunity to do the same thing Celestia did to transform Twilight into a Alicorn, she would visit that same place where Twilight and Celestia appear together with previous events of the series being shown in “Magical Mystery Cure”, but of course, Shindabra would actually detransform Twilight, reverting her back into a Unicorn.

After this, the rest of the Mane Six and Starlight Glimmer would try to confront Shindabara, Shindabara would win with no struggle, but during the battle, Starlight would surprise her by using a magic technique against her, this would be a hint on Ponies from the other planet not knowing much about magic.

 

Unfortunately no sketches, concept arts or pages for this fight, except for two sketches of Rainbow Dash attacking (July 16 & 19, 2024)

After the battle, Shindabara would capture the rest of the Mane Six, because she saw them using the Equestria's Elements of Harmony in that place with the flashbacks, so she would bring the 5 with her to force them to help her use her planet's Elements of Harmony.

Twilight after a few hours would then wake up, completely shocked, not only because she's no longer an alicorn, but also because her old castle and Ponyville were invaded.

Celestia and Luna after months, would show up for the first time because of this crisis, Twilight would get angry at them because she thinks that if the two were there, that wouldn't have happened, as she wasn't used to this new role as the Ruler of Equestria nor prepared for such situation.

Celestia and Luna would feel ashamed and also bad, not because Twilight is angry at them, but because they think it's their fault that Twilight is in despair and now her friends are in danger.

The two would then feel determined to help Twilight in rescuing her friends. Since they wouldn't know to use the portals from the trees like Shindabara did, the three would go to the other planet in a magic bubble to allow them to have oxygen in space. Starlight Glimmer and Cadance would stay on Equestria to protect it from any new menace during the crisis.

Explaining Mysteries from the Series

One of my favorite parts of this comic is that I was working on concepts that I would use to explain mysteries that were never explained or explored in the official series, one of them being related to a character I created for the comic.

   

(Concept arts made on July 24, August 9 & 10, 2024) This is a giant supernatural Pony made of skulls, this character was inspired by the Gashadokuro, a yokai from the Japanese mythology. The story of this pony would be just the same as of the Gashadokuro, a spiteful spirit that takes the form of a giant skeleton made of the skulls of ponies who died in the battlefield or of starvation.

In the concept art, you can see a dark substance coming from the bones, these dark parts are shadows and they represent the angerous spirit controlling these bones. What does this have to do with canon MLP? Well, remember Stygian, The Pony of Shadows? His origin is kinda explained in the show, but it's also vague, so I would use the concept of the “Pony Gashadokuro” to explain him, the “darkness” that are mentioned in “Shadow Play” are several angerous spirits that controlled Stygian, with the Pony of Shadows being a “physical projection” of these spirits around him. Several spirits were needed for that case because Stygian was completely alive, so it would be harder for these spirits to create a physical form, unlike how it is with Gashadokuro, where the physical form is created from bones of those who are already deceased.

The “Darkness” (Angerous Spirits) would also be used to explain King Sombra, my explanation for King Sombra is that he's actually a half-dead Pony, he was a very strong and very evil Pony back when he was still alive, but when he died, he refused his death, so his angerous spirit was strong enough to return to his physical undead body, bringing him back to life as a half-dead half-alive Pony, he would be in between the two, that would explain why he can appear in a physical form throughout the show and can turn into shadows, and why when he's defeat, he vanishes but doesn't die, because he's already partially dead, he “can't be killed” just like the The Pony of Shadows (except if Stygian is killed). This is the concept I created and would be used for this “Pony Gashadokuro”.

Some of the Ponies from the other planet would give these explanations for Twilight and the others in the story, as Ponies from Equestria barely know anything about spirit (that's why in the show they only said stuff like “Stygian welcomed the darkness” when explaining Stygian, because they don't understand how exactly it works)

Since in Equestria there are several mythological creatures from many cultures and folklore around the world, I also planned for this other planet to have fantastic creatures, but only from the Asian mythologies, so in this planet, there would be dragons, but they would be just exactly like the Chinese Dragons (those Snake-Ish Dragons) and not the European-like Dragons from Equestria. There would be many more Kirins on this planet as well (since they are originally from Asian mythology) and not just a few like in that village from that single episode. Kappa, more Japanese Yokais and other creatures from Asian legends would be appearing as well. Unfortunately I didn't save or couldn't find the concept arts I made for these creatures.

The other planet's Ponies would wear clothes more often than Equestria's ponies, a lot of them would appear wearing clothes all over the place (unlike Equestria where it's basically in just a few places like Canterlot), including Twilight herself, she would also start wearing clothes in a part of the story after arriving on this planet.

Upon arriving on the other planet, Twilight, Celestia and Luna would have their first battle against Shindabara. Celestia and Luna would be using all of their powers but end up dying. Twilight would be beaten up, but manage to escape using her teleportation. Making Shindabara kinda clueless because Twilight's teleportation is a magic power.

Weaken, Twilight would be saved by The Good Alicorn Sister, called Seishinrei Hime (short for “Princess of Spiritual Order”), she would be related to spirit, mostly the spiritual world, her white and blue color scheme was inspired by the Hitodamas but was also thought to be a little parallel to Luna, as the other sister would have a pink and yellow color scheme in her good form, being a parallel to Celestia.

Seishinrei Hime would be assisting Twilight during her journey on this other planet, teaching her about spiritual powers and how to enhance her magic powers with them.

Seishinrei Hime would find the corpses of Celestia and Luna and try to resurrect them with her spiritual powers at some point of the story. But Seishinrei Hime would reveal that her powers have been weakened because of her confrontation against Shindabara. That means Celestia and Luna wouldn't be revived very correctly. Due to some factors, the sisters’ spirits would not be at full for this recovery, the resurrection would work, but the two would be revived as kids, due to only “half of their spirits” being gathered by Seishinrei Hime.

(This one is an idea I had that if this comic was really completed, I believe I would be criticized for it by many, but it's an idea I really liked and I wanted to make Luna and Celestia be somehow permanently weaker than Alicorn Twilight for next chapters and stories, and this is the idea I had so I decided to go for it)

Twilight and Seishinrei Hime during their journey would face underlings of Shindabara.

       

Concept arts for some underlings, they were going to be military soldiers, samurais, ronins, etc. The last one has some resemblance with Twilight on purpose as I planned her to be some kind of a contrast to Twilight, being super smart about Spirit instead of Magic. (July 24, 2024. August 9 & 11, 2024)

During the journey, Twilight and Seishinrei Hime would also have the help from ponies who were against the actions of Shindabara.

     

Concept arts and sketches for some of the friends. You can tell that I used the Imperial Japanese Army as inspiration for the first one because of the green military uniform with a star. Second one was meant to be a tech expert. The last 3 were supposed to be some of the rare magician ponies from this other planet, who would be essential to help Twilight by teaching her how to use magic and spirit together. (July 23 & 24, 2024. August 11, 2024)

And well I believe I'll have to stop here as this is pretty much everything I had for this comic until its cancelation. I believe all of this was going to cover the first 3 chapters, I think? As I said 3 posts ago, even though I developed a lot for Chapter 1, I won't be able to show any pages I worked on because I had all of them stored on my Ibis Paint app, and I deleted all of them inside the app, so I didn't save them outside the app. So unfortunately the pages were lost (none of them were completed though), and many more art as well, I made a lot more concept arts and sketches for characters and places, but I either deleted them or just didn't save them outside the app at all. 

But I still have some art to show and actually, the best I could find when it comes to pages. I'll show them all below, but first, the last story details I can remember.

• At some point of the story, it would be revealed that what caused the crisis on the other planet was an attack from Ponies from another planet. Ponies who used Changelings to attack the other planet. This information would reveal that the Changelings were an alien race.
• That information would also be used to set up the next story, where the menace would be ponies from another planet. Of course I have no details to tell or any art to show for these ponies from another planet as I was focused on working in this first story arc.
• Twilight would obviously return to her Alicorn form at some point, but she would also die near the end, but revived later.
• When returning to their home planet, for being younger again, Celestia and Luna would decide to rule Equestria along with Twilight, making things easier for her.

Extras

For this final version for the comic, I thought about multiple names that could capture the idea of magical ponies encountering spiritual ponies, so names like “Magic vs Spirit”, “Magic to Spirit”, “Magic x Spirit”, even “Spirit of Friendship” is what came in my mind at the time.

Early logo with one of first names, features a stylized “G4” because I had the idea to make it clear that it was a sequel comic to G4, but I decided to drop the idea later because it wasn't really necessary to have that in the title (August 12, 2024)

 

“The Cursed World” was decided when I thought that the title should simply talk about the new planet that Twilight and friends would their adventure on. A Planet focused on spiritual powers instead of magic, people like to link “Curses” with the Supernatural, the Supernatural, Highly Spiritual, A different planet (World) in Crisis, because of a Curse? This is how I decided this name. This is final logo with the final title. The planet behind has the upper part in a good look to represent Equestria, a Peaceful Planet in pink color, and the lower part represents the other planet in crisis with a red color. The Other Planet. You can see that I clearly used the real world Asia as the basis for it. The reason why the “normal look” has pink parts is because it was going to have a lot of cherry trees, very common in East Asia. (August 23, 2024)

 

Now these are the best I could find from actual pages. The first one is the other Planet with its giant Tree of Harmony, it features two different designs because the first one still used the previous Part (Part 2) concepts as basis and it was just a reference. The second one is less finished but has the final asian thematic. (June 29, 2024)

This second one is what was supposed to be one of the very first pages. The comic was going to open in a similar way to the deleted opening of the 2017 Movie, where the stained glass images of Celestia, Luna, Cadance and Twilight are shown, then right after Tempest Shadow shows up menacingly. I would be doing the same in this introduction, but with Shindabara showing up instead. (August 8, 2024)

This one has Shindabara in her disguised pony form visiting that place where Celestia and Twilight see flashbacks from past episodes before Twilight transforms into an Alicorn in “Magical Mystery Cure”. You can see the events of “A Canterlot Wedding”, “The Crystal Empire”, “Magical Mystery Cure” and “Twilight's Kingdom” in the windows. (August 22, 2024)

And that 's all! Thank you for following me throughout this. As you know, I unfortunately canceled the comic and I don't think I have to say much to explain why. My interest in ponies diminished, I stopped loving the series, and that just affected my desire to continue working in the comic, making me lose interest to continue it, so it was too late for me to finish even a single chapter. But it was really interesting to take a look back at all this, now I can revisit this in a much better way than just looking back at my archives. I still like the story, the concepts I've created for it, the crazy ideas I had, and I also like how I made the new characters look, It's again, all concepts, characters and story elements I would be using if I decided to resume the development of this comic, but that won't be happening anytime in the future. But it was at least interesting to share all of this material, thank you if you liked anything you saw here ~☆
