I figured. Since people are sceptical of touch technology, AI and microchipping. I figured. They might aswell do it in style. What do you think?

Inorder to sell it more. Do you agree or disagree?

Why should I wear any kind of uniform?

Though with the clothes shown in the picture I would also clean the dust of the floors and walls of the server room as well as knock some things down.

this is what I do when I wear robes!

you see, there was a reason IT guys don't wear cool robes.

they should only wear them on special occasions

like when they are slaying their enemies

with their IT swords

I don't like robes. Just long jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt (I do not know the correct English word for it if one exists) for me.

long-sleaved t-shirt sounds right. unless it's bigger. We call that a jumper. is that just an English thing?

*checks*

yup

The term "jumper" in British English is used to refer to what Americans typically call a "sweater."

also clothing etymology can be really interesting!

Quote

On a slightly more serious note, it actually derives from Arabic جُبَّة‎ (jubbah), which refers to a loose outer garment worn by men across much of the Islamic world. The word was picked up by European sailors during the crusades and entered Old French as a colloquialism referring to a man’s loose outer garment, and in Middle French became jupe.

The word jupe entered English, probably via Scots English initially, eventually becoming ‘jump’ (a short jacket or warm outer layer) and then finally ‘jumper’.

whereas sweater:

Quote

The word "sweater" may have come from a Proto-Germanic or Old Saxon word for warmth.
The earliest sweaters were worn by rowers to produce sweating and reduce weight.
The term "sweater" corresponds with the growing sports culture and the need for practical, functional clothing.

What's the difference with long-sleeved t-shirts?

Quote

While both garments are staples in most wardrobe, there are key differences to consider: Material: Sweatshirts are generally made from thicker, warmer materials like fleece or heavy cotton, while long sleeve t-shirts are lighter and made from softer, more breathable cotton.

long-sleeved t-shirts are breathable and light

which is more like robes!

OK, so long-sleeve t-shirt is the correct name for it, thanks. Yeah, I meant the one made with thin material, just like a short-sleeved t-shirt, but with long sleeves.

Literally all IT for the company I work for is fully remote. So they could pretty much wear nothing at all since they get to stay in their own homes all day.
