qwertz6607 135 Sunday at 05:38 AM Share Sunday at 05:38 AM I really gotta stop forgetting that this place exists. Anyway, some of you possible Spongebob enjoyers or whatever might be familiar with that picture of a bottle of Mild Bobby Sauce. This isn't exactly an entirely unasked question, but what in the world would the ingredients for it be?? Guesses welcome, like the Krabby Patties, I'm guessing an ingredient is love.
Snoopy Fan 1,843 Sunday at 12:52 PM Share Sunday at 12:52 PM I never thought about it before, but I agree I think it might be love. It is SpongeBob after all.
SharpWit 2,727 Sunday at 06:00 PM Share Sunday at 06:00 PM There is this line up of licensed bottles, with ingredients listed on the back. I've never tried it, but I think they're leaning into the spiciness a bit more than the "real" thing would have. Love is nice, but Bobby Sauce is a concoction of Mr. Grabs, so only the cheapest most readily available ingredients will suffice, which we see from his use of old yellow patties. Most burger joints will offer a special/fry sauce that's just some mixture of the existing sauces they have on hand. There's even this one place in my girlfriend's college town where people tend to order extra of it to take home. I was able to create it with about 95% accuracy from the packets of ketchup, mustard, mayo, and relish that they had available. A little less ketchup and it would've been spot on. From the bottles above, we see that the Mild Bobby Sauce primarily uses Jalapeños which are considered on the mild end of still being spicy. Their Tangy Bobby sauce also featured in the show, jumps in with Habeneros and Chipotle powder, while getting the tang from lime juice and citric acid. However, the best known fast food mild sauce probably comes from Taco Bell, which simply uses chili pepper powder as its heat source. Their own red sauce is also known for its tanginess which comes from vinegar. Although the Krusty Krab specializes in Krabby Patties, they do carry some seafood items, including the shows beloved euphemism, tartar sauce! Most seafood shops will also carry malt vinegar, lemon wedges, cocktail sauce (which can be made from ketchup and sriracha, or processed horseradish and lemon juice) Given the ready availability of Tobasco and Sriracha, I wouldn't be surprised if their equivalence was present. From all of this, I would gather that the Mild Bobby Sauce is one of three things. Just ketchup, ketchup mixed with mayonaise, or lightly spiced ketchup. The Tangy Bobby Sauce in turn if not just cocktail sauce, would be some with added vinegar. The number of options to mix and match from is rather extensive, so it could still be any number of things. Just don't forget to ask yourself, what would Mr. Grabs do?
YGSilverstream 43 18 hours ago Share 18 hours ago Considering the fact Mr. Krabs put stuff in the food that made everyone turn yellow with green spots, definatley some things the FDA wouldn't approve of. 1 1
Snoopy Fan 1,843 14 hours ago Share 14 hours ago Actually, while we’re on the topic of this episode, I feel like this entire episode is a reference to how Nickelodeon merchandises the heck out of SpongeBob.

That's 100% the reason why they made the episode, by 2007 when the episode came out SpongeBob merch was all over the place.
