uhm, i was really young, and i really liked fluttershy, i dont have much of a backstory on it im a casual enjoyer

i like dinosaurs mostly and jurassic park/world, but im a casual mlp enjoyer and like forums

i use they/it + fem terms exclusively unless we are friends, im in colle ge, and uhm, idk what else

im autistic + more and it affects my life and how i socialize so im sorry if i seem to only talk about dinosaurs or the jurassic saga, its my spinterest. :B

i like animals a lot and have an at home rescue pretty much, im also a zookeeper / conservationist!! i lov e my job :B

thats cool im the first you meet lol, its very fun for me but also a pain mostly due to my physical issues

its sad because some animals...circle of life kind of thing, but i also love making sure species stay alive and dont go extinct due to fake animal lovers

recently we got an okapi, i named her and she's the sweetest but my coworkers seem to think she's ugly which is kinda sad. its a hard but rewarding job.

yeah i worked at a vet clinic for a little and i know what you mean by circle of life.. it isn't easy but u get through it!! it's super nice to have someone like you who cares about them looking out for them ^~^

I feel like it's a miracle your username wasn't already taken given we have every variety of enthusiasts under the moon. (yeah I said it, sol followers, come at me!)

Dino person myself, though haven't watched the entirety of that franchise. Planning to binge the new Walking with Dinosaurs this weekend. Also I'm a veterinary assistant and avid enjoyer of animals, so it's awesome to see someone be in two of my corners!

I see you picked the infamous spino as your profile pic. Is that your favorite dinosaur, or do you have another?

Was there a moment when you realized that you were "the" dino person from everyone around you, or were you lucky enough to have found community around our beloved terrible lizards?

As a casual mlp enjoyer, how far into which of the series are you, and what's a favorite moment from the show?

What is the Okapi's name, and how'd she come to be at your Zoo?

And finally, as much fun as it is to work with animals, stuff happens. So tell me, what's the grossest thing one of them's done? I'll trade you in the spoiler.

It's so hard to pick just one!

There was an instance in which a border collie had a wound so bad on a front elbow, that it turned gangrenous. Just learned its not called that for the color, but by golly it was. 

The other was from a previous job at a petting zoo. We kept our second flock of chickens in what was formerly the calf building, and unbeknownst to us, they had figured out how to perch either on or directly above the wall mounted automatic water feeder that the calves would drink out of, but we never used it for the chickens of course. We were sitting confused by this awful smell, despite cleaning out the shavings daily. We started replacing them entirely but it was getting worse if anything. We figured a rat must have crawled somewhere and died, so we start clambering all over trying to find a corpse, until we notice a beam about 10 feet in the air has some chicken poop on it. We look down and suddenly the pile within the water feeder is blatantly obvious. That had been accruing and stewing for over a week. I had the displeasure of taking care of that, and we made sure to clean it out daily afterwords. Those chickens kept us in check.

trust me I was also shocked, but i ain't complaining i got the username haha!

And i've seen the new WWD, it's okay but I don't think anything will beat the original in my opinion, super nice looking series though. And yeah. I'm surprised I was even able to become a zookeeper honestly..But a win is a win in my book.

And yes. Spinosaurus is my favorite! Though my other favorites would have to be Suchomimus and...Deinocheirus!

That's a hard answer..While I have met many people who like these oversized lizards and the jurassic franchise, I've always been mostly outcasted due to I guess my autistic tendencies with it. It's mostly all I talk about and draw..And watch honestly, so I suppose other dinosaur lovers find it odd. Though I do like to think I'm "the" dino person...I'm working to a bachelors in biology / paleontology so I'd say I'm pretty well knowledged.

Man, It's been a bit since I've watched the full thing, but my favorite part would definitely have to be chrysalis and cadence singing 'this day aria'. I love that song!

The okapi is named Kiki! We don't really know why she was sent, but if I had to guess it was probably another case of a zoo mistreating their animals.

Oh man...The grossest thing? Where do I start...

We had rescued some angsty zebra from zoo mistreatment, everyone thought he was nice (except for me I suppose, Zebra's are insane). Once we put him in the holding pen and gave him some food, we went on break since a company was supposed to pick him up in a few minutes (They didn't). So I was tasked with cleaning the pen up, which is easy enough...In theory.

Next thing I know I'm covered in Zebra feces and spit because he was not tolerating visitors. I think he drug me around that pen for 20 minutes before someone came to sedate him.

I came home with zebra crap, saliva, and god knows what else. My parents laughed but gosh, that was one hell of a day..I hope he's doing well in his new zoo though!

But I'll say, I have never worked with another zebra.
