Was one of the first search results when searching up "MLP community forums"! Hehehe.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

Let's just say, I'm a fan of a lot of cartoons growing up, and even a few anime movies and series! Though I'm not really a total anime nerd or expert. So yes, I've watch my fair share of Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball (every movie and episode). Uh... what else... Simpsons (though I was too young for it at the time),

I also like furry stuff, especially Disney animations, especially Lion King, Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch and the sequel movies. Even more obscure ones. I really, really like Land Before Time. Honestly, I was addicted to LBT a lot growing up, too. If you want something that has a similar "vibe" to MLP, but is not exactly the same, then the Land Before Time moves are actually pretty great. I know some of the more obscure animations and cartoons too, and also Ren & Stimpy, even if the creator John K. is... kind of a controversial character! But he was so passionate about being a cartoonist at least! I actually became a furry much earlier than a Brony, which... I guess is the term they still use. I'd prefer just "MLP fan" but, whatever!

Besides MLP... I'm finishing up Season 6 right now. Uh... right now I'm trying to also binge watch Animaniacs and Tiny Toons. Both of them are Spielberg animations, and man are they great. I grew up with some of the shows on TV, but have never watched every single episode of them.

The first shows I grew up with were actually Looney Tunes. The humor is that show might be considered too dry and dated for a lot of the younger crowd now. But, growing up, that was my bread and butter, as well as those silly Hannah Barbara cartoons! I was never really into Nickelodeon, but I kinda regret it, cause I could have watched Spongebob growing up. It's on the to-do list!

And of course, in order to stay more... cultured, I do watch live action movies. Plenty of those to still do.

Okay, that's enough about cartoons and movies. I also do dabble in video games. Well, yes, even in my mid 30's. Thing is, gaming is for all ages too, right? Just certain games I cannot really stand playing, especially competitive games. So you'll never see me playing those battle royale games or fighting games, and I'm veeeery picky on the kind of first-person shooter games I like to play. But I do really like puzzle games (I can recommend some really good ones). Right now my main addiction has been Gmod, because you can make ponies in it! Uh... I also like to play Pony Town as well from time to time. You can ask to see me on there if ya care. But, otherwise, I just play other non-pony related stuff under my furry account name, such as Monster Hunter and stuff. I like platformer games a lot as well. Grew up with Nintendo games after all. My first console was the N64, and it's still my favorite one! GameCube games are great, too.

I also like to draw. I've been drawing for over 15 years after all! I'll post my ref sheet of rowan in another thread. Sooo... I guess that means I can also contribute to the creative corner. I'm also passionate about music. I like good quality music, not most of the modern pop stuff that's on that kids listen to today. I love dad rock, but I also love good 90's techno. I know some of the most creative and interesting musical artist out there, but I'd love to hear what kind of music most Pony pals listen to!

That would be fun! Rapid just got accepted, so if you want your character to meet him we could do a rp sometime? I saw Rowan's app and thought him interesting and I loved your in depth explanation for his cutie mark.

Ooohh, maybe. I actually like to RP, but I don't always have all the time in the world for it. I can get myself busy from time to time, and I'm not really that great at planning and brainstorming, but I can try my best. I just find it more fun to jump into a RP with a specific setting and see how the characters interact with each other at first, but I know that can be off-putting for some people, or make others nervous, so I try to compensate with a little more planning if needed. Hehe.

I don't have Pony Town anymore (deleted it once, not allowed to make an account again because of that ) but I have Ashes Town! It's like an FoE version of Pony Town but you don't really have to know much about FoE except that it's a desolate wasteland AU sort of thing.

Awwwww, yeah, that sucks. PT is kind of annoying that way with their stricter and unfair moderation, sometimes.

Luckily, I am also on Ashes Town as well! Someone from PT actually told me about it, too.

Oh I don't find that off putting at all. What kind of settings do you like? Also, what's pony town? Never heard of it.

Indeed! I had originally tried to delete my Ashes Town account too and the only reason I have it now is because it was only lost due to no active socials being connected to it (and staff never bothered to delete it, thankfully) It was all so dumb, really, I didn't need to try and delete all that stuff just cause I thought I wouldn't play any of it anymore! Guess I can at least give you some advice: don't delete accounts that are extremely hard or impossible to return to. It's better to leave them idle.

Yeah, pretty much. Just had to improvise with the hair style though.

The one from Pony town is a little bit more accurate!
