Discord could show up as that one transfer student who clearly does not follow the dress code and snaps his fingers and turns the cafeteria food into cotton candy and rubber chickens
Gaslights everyone by insisting he’s been attending Canterlot High for years.

And narratively? It makes sense.
Equestria Girls is all about friendship lessons in a weirder, more chaotic setting, and who better to cause friendship problems on purpose and then smugly “help” fix them than Discord? He could’ve been the embodiment of that one friend who causes drama just to see if the group is “strong enough.” Very on-brand.
Plus, tell me you don’t want:
Human Discord with a bowtie that changes patterns every scene and fourth-wall breaks where he complains about not being invited earlier

I could see him appearing in a special as a whacky substitute teacher. It would allow John de Lancie to return to a beloved character withy enough of a twist to make it feel relatively fresh. Still very strong Q vibes but slightly less silly and more family friendly.

The changing bowtie is a cool idea.
