Made a new Facebook page; tips?

Well, at the pushing of a few facebook pages I personally 'liked' and subscribed to, I've made my own: "The Great and Powerful Twilight". http://www.facebook...owerfulTwilight

 

Besides saying that I'd appreciate some fans, I'd like to ask those in charge of these types of facebook pages some tips on how to gain fans, where you suggest getting the best (and more importantly, newest) pony pictures to post (I've already started a "to post" folder on my laptop with pictures I've found on 4chan's /mlp/), and other pieces of advice. Got anything to share with me?

To be successful with Pages on FB, you have to either:

 

-Steal things you can repost ( Be sure those things are FRESH! Or else people quickly tire out. )

-Create OC ( Original Content ) and post that.

 

 

Also be sure to spam other already known pages with yours. Even if I frown upon that, the social media world is a hard one and there is no magic button you can just press and get thousands of likes.

Just be sure to take them with a huge grain of salt!

 

Besides exceptions always exist, and perhaps you will be the next one?

As a rule of thumb, the more passion and heart you pour into it the more people like it. ( Just look at MLP )

Up past 150 fans, Swit Swat and Devin McCourty are Content Creators as well. They don't post much, however; anypony else want a stab at the job? I'll keep them in those positions, but I can add more people into said position.

Eh, up to >300 fans now, and rising by >10 fans a day. Added two new admins, and while I'm not super fond of what they're posting the fans are eating it all up (they're roleplaying as the Great and Powerful Twilight and post cute twily pics -- I'm surprised that people like that as much as the other stuff I'm posting. We can all use some cute twily pics, no? :3 ) and moved Swit Swat and Devin to Moderators (they were posting about 1 picture.. a month). Goal is to get 1000 fans by the end of next week. Might make a shout out later on for more admins.

How do you select them actually? Do you just go on randomly? Or the ones who look like they are intelligent/useful/nice? Or perhaps only people you know?

Basically, I selected people who were fans from the beginning, who made lots of (good) comments, and who seemed interested. Since I'm one (of the few) that decided not to give people "full adminship" (basically, set them as a "Manager") because Managers can boot other Managers, and that's the sole way pages get hijacked. So I make them "Content Creators", which are essentially admins except they can't boot me out or promote other people to mod/admin. The worst they can do is post a bad picture, and if that happens I just demote them or boot them.

 

If these admins start posting boring or crappy pictures, I'll probably boot/demote them, but for now I'm pleasantly surprised.

Which is how it should be handled x) I don't see why you should get more power than what your responsibility is.
