Whatever was lacking in Night's splash was more than compensated for by Breech's reaction. It had become peaceful quiet, and he could see why Night was able to fall asleep, it was a peaceful day in general. When he saw Night suddenly dash into the water he felt himself try to jump into a defensive stance but instead kick flipped himself into rolling his entire body backwards into the pond, falling sideways when his flank and hindlegs were the only part of his body sticking out of the water. When he came back up he had to swim over to the shore so he didn't drown as he was laughed , coughed, and chocked on water he'd just inhaled. When he finally calmed down he was still giggling, "What the in hey did you do that for? You trying to tackle a fish in there or what, whats the hurry?" Breech managed in between fits of laughter at the sudden action and the outcome of his own response.

He sinks til only his head is visible.

 

"...Sorry. I'm not used to walking all that much... Nor moving at a normal pace for short distances like that."

 

His left eye suddenly shone a bit red for a second: "And because I felt like it. It's too hot on land as well..."

Finally in control after his laughing fit, Breech wave his hoof dismisively, "Don't be sorry, I just wasn't expecting that sudden take off. Last time I saw somepony just take off in a sudden burst of speed, I was watching Rainbow Dash practicing her tricks for the Wonderbolts. I gotta say, I'm not sure if she's legally allowed to join, considering I hear she was kicked out of flight school, but if she is, I promise you, she will make it on that team, she is really, really good," Breech had watched her practicing, along with an orange coated pegasus filly with a purple mane, and started to envy pegasi in general, he liked his magic but to be able to fly through the clouds like that... he'd trade his horn for a pair of wings any day.

Sythe closed his book and looked at Breech "What are you talking about who are these Wonderbolts?" before breech could answer he opened up his book and started reading once more "By the sounds of it there a flight team"

He looked over to Sythe, his left eye turning a bit brighter:

 

"They are a group consisting of some of the best fliers in all of Equestria... Possibly the world. They are minly entertainers, but I've heard of them also acting as a attack-force when needed."

 

He looks up to the sky.

 

"I guess I could have joined... If it hadn't been for my naturally horrible stamina... And the fact that they mostly perform too early for me."

"Yeah, that about sums them up. I remember Spike's birthday a few months back, he became greedy after all the presents he got and he started becoming a full dragon in a number of days, he even kidnapped Rarity and somehow she got him to turn back to normal, but not before he went on a destructive rampage that got the attention of the Wonderbolts. They flew in and attempted to stop him, but he took the shell of a water tower and used it as a cage to catch them and trap them in the side of a mountain. But not before they sliced off some of his spikes and put some massive bruises on him," Breech said. Although, if he'd been trapped like that, he'd use his swords to cut a way out and could probably do alot more damage than they did. Wings may be more fun and look cooler, but magic was something he'd had his entire life, he'd never part with it, despite the jokes he'll make in a pegasus' favor.

Sythe sat there not sure what to say about Breech's comment "Oh boy I'm in for a lot in this town crazy ponys, giant rampageing dragons what next is my question" he stretched his arms and leaned agasnt the tree

"Yeah, that was fairly chaotic." he said as he submerged under the surface.

 

He popped up at the other side of the pond after a couple of seconds, before diving again and returning to where he submerged in the first place.

 

"I can't say I noticed much of it though... Apparently, I pushed the cloud I slept on to above the center of the Everfree... And slept there throughout the entire thing."

"Well, you've already met Spike, so even if he does go on another rampage, I'm pretty sure Twilight found a way to prevent him from growing like that again, so it'll probably be more of a temper tantrum," then turning to Night, Breech asked, "Is these anything you can't sleep through? You've managed, falling out of the sky... alot, dropping into a pond and being underwater, slamming into the walls of the Library, and apartently a dragon attack... I'm not sure how thats possible, I'd probably wake up from all that if I was dead."

"Can't really help it... My lifestyle have pretty much made me nocturnal. As for here in the pond: I went here on my own while I was awake, seeing as I have a bit of trouble falling asleep when it's as hot out as it is at this time of year..."

 

He looks up at the sky.

 

"Sometimes, I head back north where I come from to cool down a little... It's snow and a lot of night there half the year..."

"You mean the north pole?" Breech said, recalling what he'd read in a book about they sun being up half the year at the top of the world. "That seems like a really long distance from Ponyville. How'd you end up here? Hurricane toss you over during a nap?" Breech teased, he was joking about the hurricane but he was really curious how his friend had decided to move this far south of his home.

 

"You mean the north pole?" Breech said, recalling what he'd read in a book about they sun being up half the year at the top of the world. "That seems like a really long distance from Ponyville. How'd you end up here? Hurricane toss you over during a nap?" Breech teased, he was joking about the hurricane but he was really curious how his friend had decided to move this far south of his home.

Sythe got up an dusted his jeans and stretched "Well im going to head home you two have fun" he picked up his book and walked away waving "It's only time before it happens" he whispered to himself as he walked away

"Alright, later Scythe," Breech waved as his friend walked home, "Anyway, I should head back as well, I've got an appointment with the Mayor, I've been looking into buying a house here. Anyway, I'm glad we found you swimming with us Night, I had fun," walking out of the pond onto some rocks to avoid getting his feet muddy, Breech pulled a small towel from his bag, dried himself off a little (he dried his legs and underside completely, his back and head area is still a little damp) then hang the towel on thee back of his neck and headed to Town Hall and began his discussion with the Mayor. He was given few options and found a small house he liked a few blocks from the library (a little one similar to Scythe's). After signing some paper work and giving them a box of bit's he'd saved up, Breech was an official resident of Ponyville. He had a few tinkets he kept with him, and after buying a box of long nails, set up a display rank for his swords. "A home... I've had a place here in Ponyville but this makes it feel complete... I have a home," he thought to himself with a smile. There was a decent bed that came with the house, it wasn;t much, but it was still better than a tree branch. He layed down on it and went to sleep.

He watched as the two left.

 

"North pole? That's a bit far... Though I love the weather there during the winter-half of the year... Maybe I should head there some day... I could stop by my home in the mountains on the way..." he though to himself, as he realized he should be sleeping.

 

His wings broke the surface of the water and in a couple of flaps he was high up in the air, drying off quickly in the sunlight and the wind.

 

He decided that he would sleep inside a cloud above the center of Ponyville - seeing as that's apparently where the interesting things happens during daytime, and maybe he'll wake up if anything happens for once...

Sythe woke up once more in the middle of the night he grabbed his hoodie and headed out this time he headed towrds the more populated area of pony ville little did his freinds know a virus had broken out
