SilverBrumby 3 July 7, 2012 Share July 7, 2012 So there I was just minding my own business when a bunch of colourful, adorable cute ponies ambushed me on youtube! Until this happened I was quite happy to ignore FiM. Yep, that's right. I've always loved MLP, and the older generations hold a very special place in my heart. Ponies like Minty and Fizzy were such a big part of my childhood (I'm almost 30 years old) so these new generation ponies and the hype surrounding them freaked me out a little. I didn't like the style most of all (especially the flash animation style), but my curiosity took over a few days ago and I watched the first episode of FiM. Well it was kind of... AWESOME! I loved every minute of it! The character personalities are so entertaining and refreshing, with Fluttershy being my absolute favourite. Her cuteness is irresistible! I thought it was going to be just another run of the mil lame cartoon of the present day, but no Faust has done a very good job on it and I'm now up to Episode 10 already. <333 So that's why I'm here! One moment you're seeing a pony drawn out like the toys, the next they look like they have human faces pasted to their faces! Plus the story's, in my opinion, didn't really go many places that the G4 version takes them too. Of course, on the G3 series it was mostly about marketing their toys while attempting to draw out an audience to show off 'values' of how to act. The G4 though is fully a cartoon series that accomplishes this while still marketing for toys and it's fully thanks to Lauren Faust. Of course, this is just me ranting...
