AnonyPoni 564 July 16, 2012 Share July 16, 2012 .... Ok, I guess i was one of the First to try it out. Aztec Pony Linux is not ready yet for full use yet. It still lacks the programs and media for it to be a usable Distro. Here's what it needs preinstalled. I tried to suggest a good program for each (I have alerted Twango of this...) A Web Browser (Chome or Firefox...) A Full Office Suite (LibreOffice) A Better art program (Inkscape) A Music Player (Audacious is good, but you will also need something like Rhythmbox/Amrok/Clementine for managing your library) A Video player (VLC) A Flash Animator (I got nothing for now...) A Midi Sequencer (Rosegarden) A Synthesizer (Qsynth) A Virtual Piano (VMPK) A DAW (Aurdour or LMMS) A Chat program (Skype and Pidgen) A Video editor (kdenlive) A lighter DE option for slower computers (Gnome and LXDE) A way for using iPhone/iPod touch (libimobiledevice) ...this list goes on. Not to mention it needs more Pony related wallpapers, icons, and other art. I recommend that Twango and the dev team (which I am on) rethink this WHOLE thing. I highly reccomend we ditch SUSE and try an Ubuntu Based distro, for simplicity. This would at least tell a little bit of information about your OS. and about new stuff, i'd say: VLC media player Cheese Webcam Firefox Browser Chromium Browser Audicity Apache Web Server Flash Player And some pony related background, since, it's a pony OS...
