He said it's because others could exploit the gmail account and a lot of spam could be sent to the gmail account. It's for personal safety. Yahoo blows.The reason there is no gmail option on the contact list is because it can be exploited to spam your account. Based on the fact that all the other main email systems are there, this security problem is a gmail only problem.
