3005 332 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 I don't know why the prefixes are no longer available in this board, which is why I clarified what this topic is for in the title. As MLP Forums grows and grows, you can become nostalgic. Furthermore, you'd like a representation of everything you'd built, because the history of the forum is obviously more than the current front page, which is always changing. What I propose is a MLP Forums Wiki where users may create history pages for themselves and we can catalogue the history of MLP Forums! Personally, on other forums that have this feature, when I get bored, I love to go back and read about events, people, et cetera that were there before I registered. Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 I'd imagine people mindlessly cataloguing themselves and quite possibly meaningless events such as hitting X amount of posts. Sorry but I don't see much to this. :| 3 LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply.
HomuraBL 851 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 I saw this in another forum called Shy guys toy box forums. I tried it...Wasn't really that interesting, but then again thats my own personal opinion. Maybe other people might like it.

Sorry but I don't see much to this. :| I doubt see that happening. On a large site like this, I'd see people writing more significant things and accomplishments about themselves because the fact that they're just a little fit in a big pond. Even so, just the historic values about the site would be interesting. Edited July 22, 2012 by Dylan

There's not really anything of incredible meaning. That's not to say these forums are dull and boring, but they don't exactly produce many (if any) accomplishments worth going into a wiki page. 1 LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Simcity11100 772 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 I wouldn't get hyped about this, you don't need a wiki for a forum, now what we do need is a tutorial teaching on how to use this forum successfully without screwing yourself, in fact I might end up doing that eventually. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 It could be something fun to have but also the novelty could wear off quickly and it dies within a week or it gets abused with silly entries and nothing of substance being submitted. I see both sides of this coin and have no strong feelings for either one. There's not really anything of incredible meaning. That's not to say these forums are dull and boring, but they don't exactly produce many (if any) accomplishments worth going into a wiki page. I was on TV.com SpongeBob boards during its hay day (2005-2009) and just being a user was enough for a Wiki page. We'd outline their dates on the site, times when they left, came, etc. Really, we'd show their careers in fan fiction, notable art pieces, events they were involved in, and just a timeline of their time on the site. For example, the recent staff controversy. There were, I think ten pages of discussion, and that was solely in the Boat Loads thread. Users can describe their involvement, etc. That's just the relevance of user pages. The main focus here would be allowing for public access to the overall accomplishments and innovations of MLP Forums. Ultimately, it'd be there not for novelty purposes, but for a genuine database of information on the site we're all so fond of.
