tm2dragon 12 July 26, 2012 Share July 26, 2012 Hey there! I'm an avid toy collector (though thankfully I'm frugal enough not to go overboard), and a thought occurred to me when looking at the new Trixie figure; wouldn't it be AWESOME if she came with a hat and cape!? Sadly, that's not likely to happen, and even if it DID........let's face it, the official "clothes" that come with ponies are just BAD. So........what are we poor Bronies to do? Well, I think we should take a look at another Hasbro property for answers: Transformers. Transformers make up the BULK of my collection (my room is full of HUNDREDS of the suckers!), and several of the pieces in my collection are NOT official Hasbro products! Take THIS for instance: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-images/toys/Generations2012/Autobots/Optimus/Optimus+Prime+with+Corbot+War+Axe+3.jpg.html That there is the official Optimus Prime figure from the War for Cybertron video game......but the AXE he's holding was manufactured and sold in large quantities by something known as a 3rd party.......a group not affiliated with Hasbro, but releasing merchandise compatible with their products. TECHNICALLY not legal, but there are workarounds......changing names, avoiding pictures of Hasbro products, etc. The folks BUYING the product know what it's for, and even Hasbro might know, but they won't make a fuss about if if it's not costing them any money or infringing on their copyrights right on the box. Why can't someone do something similar for ponies? Imagine being able to buy a Trixie outfit, well made in large quantities, for $15 a pop? Or Perhaps a basket full of zap-apples, or a pair of sunglasses for Rainbow Dash? Or go further: some magical effect pieces to display with your Twilight Sparkle, stickers to place on a pony to alter their eye color or cutie marks, saddlebags full of mail for a Derpy........there are LOTS of options! So........who here thinks this would be a good idea? I don't have the know-how to do something like this, but maybe some other group of enterprising Bronies might? Let's hear your thoughts! GrooveBroove 680 July 29, 2012 Share July 29, 2012 Yeah i'm sure as the collection for these grow, the market for that stuff is going to start growing as well. Since even if everyone knows what it's really for so long as they don't use anything copyrighted theya re good to go.

Sadly, they don't really mesh with my sense of style. ; I'm rather picky about what appeals to me on an artistic level........heck, isn't everybody? My tastes run the entire gambit, and I can usually find something I like in ANY category of genre of artistic expression, but it's still very hit and miss (usually a "miss" when music is involved), and those are a BIG miss for me!
