Planty 1,053 August 7, 2012 Share August 7, 2012 Hey that's not to bad Things I would say need improving are the proportions, especially the legs which are a bit to thin, the nose is also a bit to sharp and could be more rounded all of this will be gained with many many drawings and practice GJ for a 3rd attempt ! Hazardus_Havard. 479 August 7, 2012 Share August 7, 2012 When drawing, start of placing shapes in areas you know they are needed; for example a box for the body, legs and neck, circles for the head and flank and triangles for the ears. Make sure you LIGHTLY draw these shapes though, very lightly. I rarely erase my mistakes on the final image. The lightly drawn parts sometimes even help give an image personality, something to consider here. By lightly drawing, you can later after the image is done do a hard lining on the final image to better solidify the figure. After you get your figure drawn lightly as you see fit, continue on with adding the usual bits such as eyes, hair, tail, cutie mark (if needed) and any other detail you want such as clothing, markings or other unique things. After you have the final image, as before stated, hard line it. Erase any parts you want to, if you decide to erase. Good software for free usage that is better than MS Paint would be GIMP and Paint Tool SAI; just Google them and download. As a final tip, use references when it can help your image. Just search for the shows images and practice drawing their stuff; you can also look at my DA page in my signature if you'd like some unique positions for pony drawing. I don't use already made vectored images and they are all drawn by hand. 1 Practice makes perfect; but if nobody's perfect, why practice? http://hazardus-havard.deviantart.com/ Art http://www.fimfiction.net/story/70801/an-alien-walks-amongst-us Story
