Profile Background Not Working

I've been trying to make my own profile bg, but none of the ones I try are the right size. Could somepony tell me what the dimensions are, please? Thank you so much.

my profile background (which was made by Speedy Transition) dimensions are (copying this directly from the Image Info):

 

1,920px × 1,080px (scaled to 1,184px × 666px)

The dimensions depend on your screen, but if you want it to fit on majority of the internets computer then you wan't to use a large size such as 1920x1080. That is the size of the websites background., well 1920 in width. The height varies and is a little more complicated than what you are given to work with. Just make a 1920x1080 image. That size is your best bet.

like bohtty said, it does depend. on my desktop, my background works perfectly, but on my laptop (which i am on right now) it doesnt fit fully. but go with the demensions 1920x1080.

I'd personally recommend 1920x1200. 1920x1080 pictures look a bit weird on 1920x1200 monitors, which are quite common in higher-end computers.

Well, see, I have a kinda small screen, a mini dell laptop (a Hackintosh to be exact, lol) I don't know what my resolution is, however, so that's not good.
