Hello everypony, and welcome to my new Let's Play! I'm sorry for not updating my Crystal LP, but my laptop with the save file exploded and I can't continue it anymore . So instead, I'm starting a new LP of a completely different game. It's called Europa Universalis 3(obviously), and well, I'll just post the video right here and you can hear me try to explain it(and quite possibly fail horribly):

So yeah. Just...I don't know, say a country that you want me to play and the most popular one I will play it to the best of my ability! However, try to be merciful and not give me a 1-size nation, as those tend to be much tougher and I haven't played this in a long time, so. Post away!

 

I also apologize for any and all poor mic quality in the video. I currently have to use a rather poor mic, so I am somewhat concerned that the audio quality won't be as good as my other LP.

 

Well I don't like to double post, but just as an update I decided to add a poll with the top 15 choices I decided upon. You guys just vote on whichever one you want me to play as over the next couple of days, and I'll take it. I'll just say though if you make me play Granada I'm probably going to cry because it is in quite possibly the worst position out of all of the choices due to Castille really hating Granada and wanting to conquer them almost instantly. >_<

Nah, just kidding. England looks like a good choice as it's an island and I don't recall England having may enemies back then (although I don't know much about English history and are probably wrong).

Okay. I've eliminated 5 of the choices from the poll. I realized that 15 was just far too many, and while 10 isn't the best number either it's at least much better than before

Oh wow! I love this game! I haven't played it in forever though.

 

I'll confess that I chose Granada when I 1st saw the poll - only because you said not to. Then when I read your comment about Granada in your post, I changed my vote to England because England is cool. Besides, let's plays should be fun for everyone… Not soul grindingly hard for the person doing the playing.

 

I'm looking forward to the 1st full episode!

Okay guys. I'm currently putting the finishing touches on episode 1. It's about...1 hour long. Yeah, I got very carried away and you'll see why in the video. As it turns out, though, a 1 hour long Fraps video is 100 FREAKING GIGABYTES. HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG MY MEMORY. There's also the fact that 100 Gigabytes takes a REALLY long time to process/upload, and so the actual file with the commentary is currently being published and is only at about 5%, thus I won't be able to post it until like tomorrow night most likely sheerly due to the amount of time it'll take for the video to publish, upload, and process. So...yeah. I need a way to reduce file sizes by like a lot, since I know this will happen so very, very often(and I now have a huge standard time to set myself to ). If anybody knows how to reduce the size of Fraps videos, I would gladly appreciate the help.

 

Okay. Fuck it. At this point, screw Youtube. I just finished uploading and processing my video, which I started doing at 9 am this morning. And it says that the video was never uploaded. FJDHJoiDJFOSJFj. At this rate the video is never going to be uploaded. Ever. So don't expect it at all until tomorrow AT THE VERY VERY VERY LEAST. Ugh. This is just so very, very annoying.

Alas, it appears the audio quality got even worse than when I looked over it before uploading it, so I apologize for that and I am currently trying to get a better mic so that if the quality does get worse at the very least it will still be decent. If the video isn't understandable for you guys, I'll do two things: 1)I'll put a written description of what happened in the video here, and 2)I'll upload captions to the video so that you guys can read what I'm saying.

 

Oh yeah, and as an FYI the guy who's talking in the background a couple of times is my dad bothering me, so just ignore those parts.

@, Due to procrastination and even more procrastination, I just finished watching the latest Let's Play video. (Yeah I know that is terrible. )

 

So much war… So much war! Yet, by the end of the episode, peace had been restored and France was defeated. Like a boss!

 

And here I was thinking that England would be easier because it starts with a healthy amount of territory and is away from the mainland. Instead, everybody wanted your head. I can definitely understand why you were exasperated. I don't think that I would've been any calmer in that situation. Great wartime leadership, but I wonder how long it will take for war fatigue to wear off from your population.

I thought England was going to be easier too, but then I got greedy due to my mission and got in over my head with that war. I should have checked out those cascading alliances so that I could have at least made some preparations for the Burgundy/Scottish(mainly Scottish) invasion instead of being hit by them with minimal resistance due to my army being in Ireland.

 

Anyways, episode two is up!

 

 

Damn game. Oh well, I'll see if I can make another episode this weekend.

 

 

 

Oh yeah, random fact about the first video: within literally 5 minutes of it fully publishing and put in public, it was already given a thumbs down.
