"Umm... Hello?" Octavinyl said to the unidentified stallion in a soft one. She was scared, but she wasn't about attack someone without good reason. "Can you please explain why you were here and why you took Misty hostage?" She asked in a non-hostile tone.

"What? Why would he challenge her to a fight? Who is he? WHY did she accept?" Silver Heart cried as she looked in Octavinyls direction, finally taking a look at her friend. "Why is her face bruised and bloody?"

 

I dont know, and she was crying earlier and well she started hitting her head against the desk in the office. Said Flame.

I tried to give her my knifes but she refused and she is using a crutch, I want to help her but she refused, if she is overtaken I am going to step in. he said pulling out his knifes but making sure no pony saw them.

She resisted to urge to go up there and buck his head in. Interfering could ruin her half baked plans. Relying on somepony else to do a job for you was normally difficult, but when they didn't even know they were doing your bidding, well....

Air Opal shook his head in disgust, not saying a word. This pony thought too highly of himself, by himself, the fight would take a few minutes, but with Earth Opal here, there was no reason for this pony to think he ranked above all the other ponies in the hospital.

Octavinyl flew back to the others, "See? We didn't have to fight so there. Nopony got hurt in the process." she said to them as she smiled. She turned back to the stallion, "I'm Octavinyl, I've taken current leadership as my responsibility to keep these ponies safe in this hospital. What is your name sir?" she asked, hoping that he will bond with the others.

Misty rolled her eyes. It had failed almost immediately. So much for that plan. She'd just pretend to consider Octavinyl the leader until another opportunity showed itself. It was okay, she could always wait. Or maybe they'd survive long enough it not to matter who was the leader. "Uh, welcome to the team...." Misty said still unhappy. Leadership had seemed so close.

Red regards the hoof. "Tell me... do you realize zat zere is a shoon-to-be zombie among your number? Probably not.. oh vell." He shakes her hoof. "So, vat is your plan? I have none after ze hospital is rendered unsafe. In fact, even now I can hear ze barriers breakink in ze lobby. Let us move!"

I found some food in the food court there is enough for us all to have a little bit but after that I think we need to start growing some and finding some more. He said turning around and walking down the stairs.

"yes I knoiw that Misty has been bitten and so have I, but we haven't shown any signs of mutation in 4 days. I think somehow the virus enhanced our bodies, but I'm no scientist on this kind of topic. Oh and do you mind if I put you on guard duty?" Octavinyl replied as she picked up the wooden crutch to put it in its rightful place. She went back to the main office to complete the assignments for tommorrow. As she finished up her work, she turned on the speaker, "If anypony needs me, I'll be in my room."

 

Afterwards she went back to the floor of her room so she can rest after a long day. Though she was still upset about Lapis, she just couldn't get her mind off of him at the moment.

"Hello," Air and Earth Opal said coldly, both of them silently agreeing that they had yet to trust the pony. But they could also hear the sounds of glass flying from downstairs, so they both couldn't fight against the fact that they should move. "We'll handle this," Earth said, making the ground below them rise to the side of the hospital. "Everypony get on, Air, you push the structure using a strong gale. Any other ideas before we pull this off? We've never done this before."

Misty sighed and went to an unoccupied room. She had figured out that the zombie bite had changed her. It didn't matter. It was actually helpful. Her bullheadedness would have gotten her killed by now if her strength hadn't increased. And, with at least two days worth of time, all her wounds closed up. Not much, but enough to keep her alive. Unlike Lapis. Eh, what did she care? He gave his life like a noble warrior. He'd given up his life to save another's. She started to feel bad about plotting Octavinyl's death. Why waste somepony's life for nothing? And if they made it out of here alive, she could have fun again. Bashing skulls was fun the first twenty times, but now it was getting irritating. She stared up at the ceiling, considering her life up to now. Bad beginnings, all her fault, had changed her. She'd never been good at telling right from wrong, so she ended up with the wrong crowds. "Meh, it don't matter anymore. They're probably all dead by now..." she whispered as she feel asleep. Perhaps she should have been doing something, but she had already forgotten.

Air and Earth headed inside as well, only heading downstairs for a few moments to get rid of the zombies that were trying to get inside. They finished them off quickly before setting up a barrier of earth around the entrance pressured by air form the inside as well as the outside to keep it standing as long as possible. They could simply destroy it by reversing the spell Air Opal had set on it in the morning when they woke up, but for now, it would keep them safe.
