Cadence wandered around the Canterlot castle, wondering what to do. Shining Armor was off, doing his job as captain of the royal guard, and the other two princesses were playing some kind of board game in the throne room. She was actually now considering joining Luna and Celestia, but she didn't really like board games. "Oh, well. I guess I could go and play with them, anyway." Cadence walked into the throne room to find that they were really playing Marecraft with her sister in law. "Oh, hi, Twilight."

[Nightfall 3,950]

"Hm? Oh, hello, Cadance. I'm just showing the royal princess... well, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna how to play Marecraft. See, Luna, it's quite simple... You just move this block here, chop down this tree... Oops... oh well, I guess you'll have to do this, and then fix that..."

Twilight started mumbling to herself.

[Pulcinella 1,016]

"Oh. I've played that once or twice, but I don't really know how..." Cadence watched the screen, and listened to the conversation. "Haha, the wood has been doubled!" Luna said, as she mined another tree. "Hey, Twilight, could you teach me how to play? You seem pretty good at it... I'm just a newbie."

[Nightfall 3,950]

"Oh. I've played that once or twice, but I don't really know how..." Cadence watched the screen, and listened to the conversation. "Haha, the wood has been doubled!" Luna said, as she mined another tree. "Hey, Twilight, could you teach me how to play? You seem pretty good at it... I'm just a newbie."

 

"Ah, yes, just a moment, please. The sun is setting, and if I don't finish my house soon, the creepers will get me!!"

Twilight said the final part of the sentence in a slightly disturbing manner. It was... creepy in itself.

"Ah ha! Almost done, Cadance... sorry to keep you waiting."

[Pulcinella 1,016]

"Ah. Ok, Twilight, take all the time you need. Cadence sat down on the couch, watching her sister in law build up her walls, and then started on her ceiling. So, a wooden house, huh?" The pink alicorn said. She had never seen a house made out of wood. "Marecraft is strange."

[Nightfall 3,950]

"Back in Ponyville, there are many house like the one I'm building. I'm just following the basic Ponyville regulation for homes. It's much easier and less time consuming than the standard Canterlot regulation for homes, which invloves the home being built solely from stine, which is hard to acquire in the correct amounts in the time alloted before nightfall comes, and..."

Twilight faded off as she noticed she was speaking quickly, and Candance wasn't fully understanding.
