I recently drew a one Twilight Sparkle and my new OC but on paper. Should I just take decent quality pictures of them or try and redraw them in GIMP? I know I might sound stupid for asking this but bear with me. lol Im new at the fan art section of MLP so you can expect some amaturness

Help and advice appreciated! Please and Thank you!

I was finally able to get my OC onto the computer, granted he doesn't look as good as he does on paper but im still happy about it :)

If you would like to see him here is the link: http://mlpforums.com/topic/32423-my-oc-lives/

It all depends. Do you have a tablet? If you don't then I would suggest using vectors because your going to get better results that way.

1. Take highish quality photo

2. Open in Gimp

3. Retrace for better quality

Can you tell me anything more about this mystery tablet? Is it meant for drawing? Is it Wacom brand? What does your school use it for? Either way you go, vector or not, you're going to have to invest some time either learning to draw on the tablet or learning how to use Inkscape. I would suggest learning Inkscape if you want it to look like the show else learn to use the tablet and use photoshop, PaintTool SAI or GIMP.

EDIT: One is correct. If you're not looking to color or make it digital art then there are some techniques to improve a photograph of a drawing so that you could see it better. I don't know if thats what you want to do.
