bcd34a 51 September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 Reason why I am asking this question is because right now I am currently making trance music Dubstep later on, dont worry And I'd like to know if theres any VSTi Synth you guys know out there that can make a supersaw synth (2 or 3 detuned sawtooths) And please do not give me the following plugins: ReFX Nexus TranceDrive Synth1 Those come with presets only and a supersaw synth cant be self made in them sadly. And also one thats free. I tried making a supersaw with 3xOsc plugin in FL Studio 10......not so good and the chorus effect only made it sound like a supersaw, without it it'd sound like 3 low pitched bee's buzzing. And the chorus effect adds white noise and compresses it a little bit too much
K3WRO 79 September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 actually, any synth with pitch oscillators can do the trick, 3xosc can make supersaws but I bet it's not the one your hoping for. If you manage to make a good one, try cutting off the lower frequencies on eq and try applying filters and reberbs. If you want a more "rich" feeling. I use Sytrus and Toxic Biohazard to make hardstyleish supersaws, detuning and layering is key, I think sytrus also has house supersaw presets converted from yamaha. Please sub to my Youtube if you like my stuff!

I actually made 5 different supersaws in 3xOsc like a week ago. Not that good. Here is a demo of all 5 I made, each supersaw synth I made has its own melody in the sample I made: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/53559526/NC%20Dance%20Lead%20Demos.mp3 Only like 2 seem good to me, not sure about other people. KakeiTheWolf 652 September 23, 2012 Share September 23, 2012 Let me check... Sytrus has a direct supersaw in its Vocoder Carriers section, Pad section, and Sequence section. Elsewhere in Sytrus, these saws can be found: Detuned saws, many hypersaws, a Cereba saw, a rough saw, a gated gold saw, a gated hypersaw, Hypersaw pluck, a fat saw, a feedback saw, a gold saw, a silver saw, a platinum saw, several heaven hypersaws, PWM saws, a saw-to-square, a flanged saw, and a robot saw. I'd recommend the other saws. Even I like some of the other ones. 1 My Music: http://kakeithewolf.bandcamp.com/. And there is no way im getting signature bundle of fl studio until I save up the money for it Actually I tried making a supersaw in sytrus, except. Here is a noob question, how do you detune something in sytrus??

Here is a noob question, how do you detune something in sytrus?? Get the demo of FL Studio. It comes with the total package of Sytrus and countless other VSTi programs and synths, without a trial or time limit. I've been using it for months for all my music. It's barely different than the full version! Also, in the Pad, Sequence, and Vocoder Carriers categories in FL Studio (Demo or full), there are several supersaws available, as well as TONS of other saws like the ones I listed in the other post. I like to make my own saws usually, the easiest way to do it is to go to op1 or any operator and change the waveform into saw, make multiple saw operators and detune each of them, detune one by 0.01Hz, and the other by -0.01Hz and keep the base 0,Specifically for trance, I like to phase my saws, go to a op and there should be a knob called "PHS" check the little box labeled"global" than play with the knob a bit. Sytrus also have a thing called the Matrix, it simulates ring and frequency modulation, if you want to switch from FM to RM, it's on the bottom of the box, To connect an operator or fx channel to another operator, turn the knobs, further the knobs go it becomes more mixed together, if you want sound, link the base op to "output". Change operators and turn knobs, and you've got some neat sounds! You can also use the XY modulator by going to the tab labeled "Filt" Link the operator via matrix and go to the linked filter, click "Cut" and go to a tab on the bottom called Mod X, this will be your cutoff filter, you hear it in various electronic music during buildups, when a sound shifts from lowpass cutoff to notch. It's confusing, but You'll get used to it A good synth that's not from Image-line you can use is probably Sylenth 1. And Sytrus works the Same way as Native Instrument's FM8 Please sub to my Youtube if you like my stuff!

As well, Sytrus has individual detuned saws you can combine to make a supersaw. My Music: http://kakeithewolf.bandcamp.com/. bcd34a 51 September 24, 2012 Author Share September 24, 2012 Sytrus and 3xOsc are great but one problem, the synths of the supersaw I create on them are different sounding on the ones I make on a Novation Xiosynth
