Ray, a lone road-dwelling scavenger and survivor of a post-apocalyptic Earth, discovers the magical land of Equestria after escaping a rogue military faction known as the Phantom Raiders. After learning more about this unusual community of ponies, Ray finds that the faction has followed him into Ponyville. They launch an invasion in attempt to take over the land and hunt Ray down.

With the help of his new friends and their former foe, Ray prepares a counter-attack on the new threat.

Thanks, hope you enjoy bro. It's a human-in-Equestria fanfic, as you can probably already tell, but I wanted to try my vision for the genre as an alternative to the usual ones that have been surfacing lately.

I like those type of fan fictions as well. One of my favorites fan fictions I ever read was called Hero Of War (but what was kinda the other way round, it was a Pony stuck on Earth during World War Two) by DontWakeTheNeighbour on Fimfiction, so I'll be sure to read yours at some point.

Well, I've tried submitting this one to EqD but it got rejected. I had a feeling it would beforehand, because there is a fairly 'violent' scene in the chapter "Invasion" in which the Raiders kill quite a few guardsmen in their attack. I wanted to chance it anyway because I find it to be an important scene, and can be overlooked quite easily throughout the rest of the story, even to the even bigger battle I've yet to write towards the end. Besides, I'm sure they are just referring to fics that focus on graphic gore (like a certain story we all know).

However, to my surprise, it was rejected for this:

Thank you for the submission, but due to consistent grammar and punctuation errors, we are not interested in posting this story. Issues include (but are not limited to) incorrect dialogue punctuation, improper capitalization, and show vs tell. You also have a tendency to overuse adverbs which, while not incorrect, could stand to be toned down. Feel free to resubmit once this piece has been edited sufficiently.

Now that this first installment to the "Rayverse" trilogy has been completed, I'm now working on the sequel Road Gangs: Ray Part II. I'll create a separate thread for it.
