Harp joined in but she didn't dive in like Star keeper.He dipped her hoof in the water then took it out, it felt a tad cold but she wanted to join in on the fun with star keeper, she got into the water then went under and came back up, Her mane was now a mess , but strangely the water felt good to her. She went over and splashed star keeper.

Star Keeper was surprised when he felt the water splash against him. Oh, the captain was not going to be happy at me for this.

"Oh. It. Is. On!"

 

Using my hooves I sent multiple splashes in Harp's direction, then used my wings to send a small wave to splash her. He probably was taking it a bit to seriously, but hey, it was fun.

 

"Given up yet?"

"Guys... try to keep it down, we are still in allot of danger. We will only be here for a couple minutes so dont get too comfortable."

He said, filling his water bottle up. "....But that doesn't mean we cant take a quick break." Flame said, climbing into the water.

"I think we can all agree that everypony here needs to take a bath... This is as close as we are going to get."

Harp held up her hooves and giggled she was having fun with star keeper. "Yes i give". She waited for the water to stop splashing so she can go over and swim with him even though Harp never learned how to swim she hoped that Star keeper will take notice of that.

[Cherry Blossom 864]

Cherry Blossom went into the shallow part of the water and drenched her mane. This was very refreshing to her, but may slow her down if she isn't properly dried off. She wiped off some of the sand that was in her coat and finished cleaning off any other dirt she collected along the way.

Star Keeper splashed Flame Dancer as he leaned in closer. "That's the spirit! Come on, the water's great."

 

He sent another series of splashes in random directions. Star Keeper was having an unnaturally good time considering the circumstances. Then he remembered his head, it must have taken quite a knock. He'd been acting funny ever since. More... outgoing. He liked it!

 

"Pool party! Whoo!"

Harp made a sound to let star keeper know that she needed him for a minute. Harp waited for star keeper to take notice , she loved star keeper but she couldn't swim but she could just fine in shallow water but other then that she couldn't swim any other water surface.

Star Keeper noticed that Harp wasn't, well... getting involved. She lingered in the shallows and sort of hung around the edge.

 

'Just go say something, you can tell by her low hung head and slow body movement somethings got her down. Come on, you read ponies like it's text, you can tell when she's sad.'

 

His mind was seemingly right in this situation. Harp gave a subtle hint that she needed his attention. 'Fine, I'll go. Happy?'

 

Star Keeper swam up next to the black mare and nuzzled her on the cheek. "Something wrong? You seem down today."

She turned to him."I.. can't swim". She wasn't happy about what she just said if she can't swim and they where being chased by those things she'll get killed or worse star keeper mite get killed because of her being dead weight. A tear ran down her eye , but with star keeper her she felt like she can tell him anything.

A pony who cant swim. Hmmm. He was no swimming instructor, but hey, might as well give it your best shot. Star Keeper extended out his fore hooves to Harp, using his wings to keep him afloat. He gave a warm smile to her, one she could trust.

 

"Hold on tight." He indicated towards his extended fore hooves. She was obviously nervous.

 

"Okay, well the rick is that for Pegasi this is much easier. We have a much lighter bone mass and wings for support. We are natural swimmers. If you hold onto my hooves I can basically pull you across the water while you build up the technique with your wings. We should be able to drift across here easy and with enough practice, swimming should come as easy as breathing."

Flame glared at Star Keeper his mane dripping wet. "Remember we are still in a forest full of evil deadly monsters." He said, shaking the water out of his mane. "Well... this water has to come from somewhere. I say we go farther up the stream... But I don't really want to be the one to boss everyone around. The mountain will probably have a small cave or something somewhere... that may seem like a bad idea but I think it would be more dangerous to stay in the middle of the forest... That's what I think."

Harp grabbed his hoof , she was unsure of herself but she kept her eyes on star keeper. But as soon as she no longer felt the bottom of the shallow water she embrace star keeper just to stay afloat."Star keeper i don't if i can do this". she tried to learn to swim.

He knew this was probably not a good time to be thinking this, but he enjoyed the embrace. Wait, back to the real world.

 

"That's fine. We'll get going now anyway. Let's get back to shore and dry ourselves off." Star Keeper wadded Hap back to the shallow water, letting her climb out herself. He followed soon after, grabbing a towel form his travel pack and handing it to Harp.

 

"You'll be needing this."

Harp took the towel then began to dry off the water from her mane. but she couldn't get her mind off of star keeper."um.. star keeper i was wondering if i could talk to you back at me tent for awhile". Harp said it while blushing she wanted to show how much she liked him helping her and she wished to repay him.

"Well, if you need to say something you light want to say it now. Everypony looks just about ready to start off again towards the mountain. Seems either you speak or you wait till we arrive. Your choice." I did seem rude to deny her moment, but they were about to set off. They didn't have time for an intimate talk out in the open.

"Alright, Lets get going." He said, putting on his saddlebag and taking a sip of water before they leave. "So everypony here agree's on the mountain idea, right ?" He asked, staring up at the large mountain. <Its so big it goes above the clouds... if you get past the fact that we could all die and minute... its rather pretty.> He thought. Harp perked up."I can wait till we can get there". Harp looked at star keeper a little disappointed , she waited for every pony to set off to a safe location to camp so her and star keeper can be alone but the though was still a little exciting to her she can hardly wait.

Bio was annoyed, here they were getting chased by demon spawn and they decide to take swim. What worse was the fact Avion was up. Against a tree with his eyes closed humming that depressing tune.

Her temper finally getting the better of her "ARE YOU ALL BUCKING RETARDED!?" her eyes starting to glow a dark blue "here we are being chased by a bunch of monster that have the clear intent on killing us" her eyes changing from blue to light green "and we've just ran further into their habitat, and you all think it's a good idea to relax and take a break!?"

Harps wings stopped fluttering she just about had it with bio, harp was looking for a good excuse to attack bio and put her in her place. Harp didn't say anything but just stayed with Star keeper, all she wanted to do is be with him till they get home beyond that she had no idea what to do.

Flame looked angrily at Bio. "BIO. All Of Us Have Been Threw SO Much In The Last Day... We Need Time To Rest and Regain Our Strength.

We may be in their territory but taking one small break and rinsing off in Fresh water, Which we will soon run out of, Isn't a huge deal. Now we are leaving. Control Your Anger." He said, turning and walking farther up the stream towards the mountain.

Just then there was a rustling it the bushes. A pair of eyes glowed in the blackness of the woods. Then Fatigue walked through.....barely. He walked over to Flame Dancer. His hooves trailing blood, coat and main covered in body fluids and dismembered pony parts. As he stood over Flame he wiped the blood off his face and eyes.....So.......You cant warn anybody? Or say that we were running and not fighting? Ima tell you this....Thats how my crew died. One by one....They were all killed and eaten. And i dont want to see that happen again. Looking at the fresh spring. Oh i see you found the river to my camp. Theres a waterfall at the end of it, My camp is behind it.

"I did warn everypony. I called out several times actually." He said bluntly. "This river has to be running from a fresh water spring somewhere on the mountain. as it flows down it gets dirty and can sometimes contain sickness... And as Star Keeper said earlier, I think going to high ground would be a good idea. I could only hope that everypony was behind me, the monsters would have reached us before I could have told everypony, Plus... You were in my tent I kidna figured you would be right behind me, I'm sorry." He said, continuing on his way towards the mountain.

Star Keeper turned back to Harp. "See, we aren't to far from a place to rest. We should be there in no time. Lets grab what gear we have and set off before it gets any darker than it already is." He pulled the travel pack over his shoulders and lead Harp toward the Captain and Tar- I mean Fatigue.

Flame looked at Star Keeper. "You're right, We should go.

Fatigue... Is there anything you need from your camp ? I was just thinking that maybe making camp higher up in the mountain... I think we should get you cleaned up... lets go to your camp before we move up the mountain." He said, Looking at the blood covered pony.

Bio lost it. "no pony tells me to control my temper" her eyes narrowed in on Harp, changing her stance as if bracing for a attack. "AND NOPONY TR" she was cut off by a sudden *thud* and she crumpled to the ground out cold.

He looked at Harp "Word of advice Harp, dont even try to attack Bio, one she can read your body language like a billboard, and two if you did she'd probably tear you in two.

A nervous smile played across his face.

Scooping up Bio and placing her on his back, " we'd better move"
