"umm not meaning to interupt, but was i the only one to look at the list?" Fluttershy said as she fineshed putting her uniform on. "It did say who listed to join." fluttershy had just fineshed putting the uniform on, and went on "rainbow dash, come sit top bunk, that is, if you want to."

"The mare at the desk never bothered to show me the list." Fine Beat said as he began to put on his uniform. "I only called out my name, then she checked it off."

 

Fine Beat keep his beret on as he slipped into his uniform. He scoot onto his bunk and laid down, putting his hooves behind his head.

 

"I still don't understand why the Elements of Harmony would be enlisted with the grunts. Shouldn't you all be with the Special Mare Services or something?"

Angel Feather hurried towards the old mare at the desk.

"Name?"

Angel Feather blushed and looked at the list without making eye contact. "Angel Feather," she said as loudly as she possibly could.

"Sorry?"

"Angel Feather," she said, trying to make her voice louder.

"Pardon?"

Angel blushed and reached out and touched the paper, pointing at her name which she easily found among the others. The old mare glanced at her and ticked it off.

"Thank you," Angel whispered as she hurried off towards the camp. She was unsure whether or not the old mare had even heard her. She supposed it didn't particually matter.

"im not anything special am i?" fluttershy certainly did'nt feel special, she was just a regular pegasus who enjoyed taking care of animals and spent more time on the ground... ironicly. "why? have i signed in the wrong place? am i late for where im meant to be ?!"

Angel hurried in. She noticed a large group of other ponies. She took a step back and blushed. She took a deep breathe and continued towards them. She went straight to her uniform which was draped neatly over an empty bed. She decided it must be hers.

She picked it up and pulled it on, feeling self consious. She felt as if everyone was staring at her.

Well, of course they are! Angel thought without checking. You walked straight in without saying so much as a hi!

Fluttershy saw the new pony walk in. she seemed, shy. More shy than herself. But then again, Fluttershy had her friends with her, so she felt kind of braver. "umm hello." She says to the new pony "im fluttershy, whats your name?" It was a step in the right direction fot her.

"No no Fluttershy." Fine Beat hopped of his bunk and trotted over to the pegasus. Surely, she couldn't be this modest?

 

"What I'm saying is that you're one the Elements of Harmony, a hero of Equestria. Combined, you all possess unimaginable power from what I heard. Shouldn't you and the other elements be beside the Princess or join a special forces unit? It's out respect Miss Shy." Fine Beat explained softly as he bowed his head.

 

He looked up to see her trot towards another pony who had just entered the room. Fine Beat sighed.

Hearing someone talking to her made Angel blush. But, not wantng to be rude and wishing for someone to talk to as well she turned and smiled softly at the light yellow pegasus. She could tell out of the others that she was the one who spoke to her.

"I...I'm Angel Feather," she said as loudly as she could.

"Ok ponies it is time that I tell you why you are here. As some of you have pointed out we are in fact the Elements of Harmony and should not be in the grunts of the military. That is true and we are not in the grunts. Now I know that a few of you are not one of the elements but for some reason or another a superior in our ranks believes that you could help the unit in bringing down Discord. We are in a special unit called the Mareborn. What we dod is we will drop behind the enemies fron lines and we will engage them from behind." stated Twilight looking at all the ponies in the room.

"Yes, I noticed that the flyer for the enlisting was rather... glorified." Remarked Fine Beat. He trotted towards the lavender unicorn wearing a serious expression. He fixed his glasses as he glanced around the room, counting the ponies. He cleared his throat as he mocked salute.

 

"So Miss Sparkle... what are our orders?"

"Well for now you will begin your training and I am in no position to give you orders im not in command of this unit I am part of It." Said Twilight looking back over her shoulder then seeing what was coming she turned back with a rather disgusted face.

 

"Thats Right your not in command, The Great and Powerful Trixie is!" shouted the light blue unicorn stepping into the room.

Fine Beat lowered his glasses and stared at the blue unicorn that had entered the room... who is she? And by the name of Celestia, what is the ridiculous hat?!?

 

"...Pardon?" He could almost taste the haughty vibe from this one. Hell, her pompous voice was thick enough to cut with a knife.

"Oh not that show off again... Twilight darling, can't you use your magic to make her disappear? I don't want her messing with my mane again..."

 

Rarity said knowing that twilight woudnt do it...

 

She just wanted to keep her new dress cleen from anything and everything

"Rarity, please explain. Who is this unicorn?" Fine Beat eyed this "Trixie" suspiciously. "I can tell you and Twilight aren't very friendly with her."

 

He noticed that this mare stood among them as if she had a regal status. Her vicious eyes seemed to eat up the mention of her higher position.

"I'm sorry Rarity but I can't Luna is in charge of the Mareborn and she has assigned Luna as our Company Commander as hard as it is to believe She has had some military experience before. This matched with the fact that she is the only pony even close to our abilities has put her at the helm." Replied Twilight rather disgruntled.

 

"That's right. Now The Great and Powerful Trixie wants you all changed and in formation, squad members in front standing next to each other and the squad members behind their leaders, in 15 minutes." Called out Trixie on her way out of the barracks.

Angel blinked at the light blue unicorn and stared after her as she left, her purple cape blowing behind her. Why in Equestria is that pony wearing a cape? Angel wondered. She raised her eyes and saw her matching hat. And a hat?

Angel looked over at the rest of the group in the barracks and hoped their expressions would shine some light on this...odd pony.

"if it makes you feel better, I don't hate trixie. In fact, i don't need to hate trixie. She didn't do anything to me." It appeard fluttershy was the only pony backing up trixie, so she just sat down on her bunck again.

(OOC: not evryone hates trixie, ive seen a few who think she is best pony.)

Angel looked at the yellow pegasus. She turned back to the others. It appeared that not many people liked the light blue unicorn named...Trixie? Angel could tell by the others expressions.

Angel checked herself in the mirror to make sure her uniform was in order.

"Alright she gave us an order it is time for us to hurry up and get out there." stated Twilight looking out at all the ponies. "Ok you" she said pointing at the Pony with the beret on. "You are in AJ's squad." then pointing to Angle "And you are with Fluttershy." Then Pinkie and Twilight walked out of the barracks.

Rainbow chose to hold back her anger, mostly. She despised the unicorn after making her look like a fool, but she would have to deal with it if she was to get through the service. So she stood there looking at her with a scowl that could kill a fly. Trixe could do all she wanted, Dash would simply have to pull through, but she couldn't help but wonder how Fluttershy would cope under the circumstances.

Fine Beat sighed as he trotted up behind AppleJack. These ponies clearly didn't want to respond to him. He was an outsider anyways.

 

"Maybe I shouldn't have opened my mouth in the first place..." Thought Fine Beat. If only the Mare-ines would've accepted him. At least they emphasized on brotherhood.

fluttershy walked up to angel, and leant out her hoof. "i guess your with me now," She said. Fluttershy felt Different. wether it was her friends bieng around her, or the urge to help out, it made her feel fuzzy on the inside, in which she liked the feeling of.

Shade walked into the barracks... "Crazy dumb old mare" she said silently looking up at the main six...

 

"Shade darling! It's good to see you again! Can't say I'm surprised to see you here" said rarity, "surprised that your here... And why are you here flutershy? Don't you have animals to tend to?... What ever... I'm here, old mare at the desk took forever to find my name on the list... So what's happening?" Shade said and asked...

Fine Beat stared at the new pony that entered the room. Another mare. She looked rather... shady. Theiving perhaps. Fine Beat pondered wheather to hold his tongue or just risk getting ignored again. He decided to risk it.

 

"Well, our orders are to organize into squads. I'm guessing you know your position?" Said Fine Beat.
