Shade walked over to the back wall and leaned on it...

"Somepony's got an attitude..." Huffed Fine Beat. "So I'm guessing you already know these folks?"

 

Fine Beat thought of grabbing his notepad for some poetry, but decided against it considering he wasn't at his favorite coffee shop anymore. He stared back casually the the glaring mare, trying to look past her seemingly gruff exterior.

Rainbow Dash quickly fell into formation along with the others. She whispered to Fine Beat who stood next to her. "For the record, I blame you for this." She gave a cold scowl before turning back to Trixie. "You're going to get killed if you don't learn to do what you're told."

Shade made eye contact with trixie... She gave a cold glair... Then got off the wall and fell in formation by rainbow dash...

 

"Gee... I wonder if the changeling are better to side with, they probably don't have a great and unpowerful trixie to deal with"

Said shade looking at trixie with an mischievous look

"Congratulations you can now run to the top of Dragon's Mount and back. Three miles up Three miles down. Get moving. Oh and the rest of you can thank her too. Because of the little outburst you all have lost your weekend passes for the next month and a half." "Clearly you don't know who I am trixie... 6 miles? That's nothing... Now why don't you behold THE great and powerful shade!"

 

Shades mane had electricity flow out of it... Then flew 3miles up the mountain, and flew all the way back in under 5 minute...

 

When she got back...

"Yo trixie! I'm back! Didn't take long now did it?... Oh ya... I should tell you about the changeling scouts on the other side of the mountain."

"I'm sorry you must have misheard Trixie, Trixie said run up the mountin, not fly." said Trixie a little un-impressed at the speed of the pegasus and with a quick burst of magic Shades wings disappeared. "Now how about you try that mountain again. Don't worry Trixie will give you your wings back latter."

Rainbow gave a smug look to Shades as she trotted towards the hill. "You aren't getting out of it that easy, sport. Now let's see if you can gallop as fast as you can talk." And with that Dash was off, racing towards the location with an immense amount of speed. "You'll have to do better than that!"

A black thundercloud came down towards shade...

 

"Even if a Pegasus dosnt have wings... They can still walk on clouds... But if you really want me to run, so be it.

 

Shade bucked the cloud and a thundercloud shocked out of it... Shade was running all the way to the top of the mountain... 15min later, shade returned...

 

"I'm back trixie... And the changeling scouts are still there"

Trixie might be able to make a paratrooper out of you yet."said Trixie smiling at Shade "Now stay here and stay information." and with that she poofed away to the top of the mountain when Dash got there she Stated rather plainly "Good a pony that can listen to orders with out questioning them."

"Mam, reporting for duty." She gave a salute, standing front and center. Dash may be bold and daring, but she knew when she was met with a superior authority. It was her duty not to cause trouble and she was going to do just that. "I'm sure the others will catch up in their own time."

She went to the nearest wall and leaned on it...

 

*i wonder if she believed me when I said there were changeling scouts around here?*

Fluttershy was panting up the hill, After trying to catch up with rainbow dash. She meant most of the time adoring the animals on the hill.

"Sorry... Im late... trixie. Cute... animals... sopped me." She fell over, unable to stand for long because of all the running she did.

Fine Beat finally caught up with the rest of the group, screaming a cadence that he memorized on the run. He panted loudly, not used to running this kind of distance anymore. He looked up at Trixie and smirked.

 

"Looks like living in Manehattan gave me a good start huh?" Said Fine Beat, Chuckling.

Rarity wasn't running... She was walking up the moutain... Eventually she got to the top

 

"Sorry I took so long darling... But I refuse to run and get sweaty with or without a new dress"

"Tell me Rarity... will you WALK while tracers are flying and artillery fire is ripping the ground from under you?" Growled Fine Beat. He was starting to lose patience with this unicorn... but he'll let Trixie handle that. He trotted close to the alabaster unicorn and gave a blank stare.

 

"But please tell me one thing... are you afraid of heights?"

A pink earth pony crawled into view, wheezing. "I'm...here...whew."

 

She popped up from the ground and walked over to the rest of the group, all signs of the previous exhaustion seemingly gone. She grinned at the group. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pi-oops! Sergeant Pinkie Pie....I think?"

"Dang it, dang it, dang it! I knew I should've gotten new batteries"! Supernova ran up the hill with all his might, panting and desperately looked around to see what he was supossed to do. "Don't worry i'm here my alarm clock battery ran out but I still got here now where am I stationed SIR!? *GASP*" He said in one breath. "Ow.. my sides.."

Shade got board, so she went to the firing range to practice her lightning bucking... Even tho she was a master at it already...

Fine Beat narrowed his eyes at Rarity. The way she spoke, the way she dressed, the way she stuck her snout up into the air as she trotted... it reminded him of his mother and father. The ones who tried to "refine" him like one of those Canterlot snobs and their ridiculous ways of the Equestrian Life. Oh, how he loathed them.

 

But Rarity wasn't his mother. Nor his father. He shook his anger away.

 

"Hm, I guess you'll learn soon enough." Shrugged Fine Beat. "But you still didn't answer my question. Are you afraid of heights?"

Rainbow couldn't believe how long everypony else was taking. Were they getting side tracked? Even some of the slowest ones were arriving before them. This was to say the least an humiliation for her and her squad. Maybe she should just throw in the towel and be done with it. No, she had a duty now.

Shade was board after hitting every target at the range... So she desided to go back to the top of the moutain... A storm cloud came down... And she bucked it to give her a lightning boost to the top of the mountain.

Supernova scanned for Rainbow. "Ah! There she is!" He ran over to Dash with an unsure look on his face and muttered, "Um, ah... hey.. I think i'm suppossed to be part of your... um... eh...I don't think she heard me... Whoa... she kinda scares me... Hey! This is a time to pony up! Or... stallion up for that matter...?" He put his chin up and stood in formation with a salute. "Supernova reporting for duty, ma'am!"
