First Vector of my OC (Critics wanted)

This is my fist vector of my OC Arcus Wind. I feel like he is incomplete but I wanted you guys to take a look and tell me what you think.

This is my fist vector of my OC Arcus Wind. I feel like he is incomplete but I wanted you guys to take a look and tell me what you think.

He looks good for a first vector. Really good.

 

I'd like to point out that you missed a few lines on the inside of his left wing, and the line in his smile. That's about it. 

 

Shading would be nice.

 

Like I said, though, very good for a first vector.

Hmm... I think the vector looks pretty good. Is it your first vector ever, or just your first vector of your oc ?

 

You could add two things to it, actually. A cutie mark, and some shading.

Yeah I meant to get those for his wing put on, I just forgot. Kinda messed up going between layers. What do you mean about the line on his smile? Should I not have used it?

Nah, the line in his smile to seperate the top teeth from the bottom ones. Like in my vector, purple link in my signature. I probably could have explained that a little better. The way you've done it, it looks a bit like a bubble. Add a line to make it look like he has teeth there. You know?

Um...You actually just confused me more. I don't understand what you mean that it looks like a bubble. I do have a line there, maybe I need to make it darker and more visible?

Sigh... I'm sorry, I'm doing a horrible job of phrasing my thought here.

 

In a lot of drawings, where the subject is smiling, there will be a thin line, parallel to the lips, that indicates the presence of teeth there. Basically supposed to resemble where your upper teeth overlap your bottom ones. I may be wrong, this is just me nitpicking, it's not necessary. But, if you want to see what I'm trying to refer to, look at the picture of 'Descant' in my sig. Look at his mouth. There's an extra line in his. That's what I mean.

I think I figured out what you are saying.I almost thought I messed up and had only saved this as a png. I found the xml. I found it in a file I didn't think I had saved it to.

Looks good for your first time, try to adjust the hoof that's supposedly farther than the other one and make it a bit smaller. Also, don't forget the nostril. ;p
