Mellow 73 December 23, 2012 Share December 23, 2012 I would suggest trying to allow it through your firewall or antivirus? if that doesn't work you could try just disabling them to see if they are the problem cause that's what it seems like from what you described My OCs: Mellow Genny Techmo
Harmonic Revelations 8,835 December 23, 2012 Share December 23, 2012 You stop downloading viruses, or if the file actually IS safe than you get a better anti-virus. But in all seriousness, on most anti-viruses you should be able to add a file to the exception list, I won't explain how since it's different on every anti-virus software. One 498 December 23, 2012 Share December 23, 2012 Origin is a pain, I wouldn't go through downloading it to get Battlefield 1942. Also, that game is 10 years old- no wonder they are giving it out for free. I personally don't know what you should do, if anything just don't get the game. This is a signature. Cowl 128 December 23, 2012 Share December 23, 2012 (edited) Battlefield 1942 is/was a great game. This offer gives me hope that they patched it up so that it wont run at hyperspeed on new computers (so piracy isn't an option). Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If I run into the same problems you found, I'll try to find a way around and post here. It downloaded and installed just fine for me! And they fixed the hyperspeed issue. Now its time to go hunt me some Nazis. IDEA: If it won't let you download from their website. IE has security settings under its preferences/options page which range from none to extreme. It could be that your setting is too high (if you are using Internet Explorer). If nothing else works use firefox to download. Edited December 23, 2012 by Cowl And to all things comes an end. We are no more than pages in a book. Turn the page, and thousands die. And for what? For the greed of two powerful leaders. Turn the page and floods, earthquakes and volcanoes are destroying the world. It is a time for acts of despair and of bravery as well. Another turn of the page and countless refugees flee. Is this the end of the story? No. There are countless pages to turn. And to all things comes a beginning!
