TheLionPaladin 164 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 (edited) Just wandering if anyone else on MLP forums is a fan of Jeff Wayne's Musical version of the War of Worlds. I loved it since i was young, the music, the story and the Gothic art that came with the album and i was wandering if anyone knows of or likes it. Viscra Maelstrom 3,718 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 my dad showed me to it once. he had burned a copy of the album on 2 discs, and i think i listened throughout the whole first disc of it. it's a very good listen and musically i found myself enamored by the instrumentals of the album. i don't know much about it other than that, though, but i am aware of it, and i do enjoy listening to it. 1 Soundcloud---------Twitter---------Tumblr---------DeviantArt
TheLionPaladin 164 December 26, 2012 Author Share December 26, 2012 Awesome. I think Disc 1 is my favorite I just like every single song on that one. (disc 2 i am un sure of Dead London) I recently (and maybe quite oddly) have thought of MLP version of it XD. Maybe Shining Armor on a boat representing Thunderchild or a cylinder landing in the Everfree forest and poor ponies being incinerated by the heat ray. I would say it is my favorite version of the War of the Worlds. I can't stand the American film versions (no offense) I just don't see why they have to make it in America when it was in England to start with. Maybe i am just saying that as i am a brit. TooTsaka 43 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 Absolutely. I have the highlights of War of the Worlds however, so I need to buy the full version one day. Still, it's nice to have a collection where I can listen to them as songs rather than as a story. The intro is absolutely amazing. I don't know how they managed to pull it off so well. Forever Autumn has to be my favourite song in the collection. Don't know what it'll be like in the full version.

Also it's great to find more fans of this great album! Arkane 270 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 I loved that. It only sparked my interest on making a similar styled album. But truth be told that RoF got me moving first. But still! Awesome album is awesome.
TooTsaka 43 December 26, 2012 Share December 26, 2012 No, I'm talking about the original. I have the album which cuts out the narrative, therefore the story. Except for the very beginning. Didn't even know there's a new version out, lol.
