Yeah, I can see where your coming from, but the fandom is a fandom.  The fandom is full of people that just are in it for the attention, whilst others actually are in it for what it truly is.

It's always been this way, people just start out ignoring it when they're new to the fandom and it's a new and wondrous thing, but then forget how to look past it.

 

I've heard horror stories from as far back as season 1.

As the fandom grows, you'll get more and more varying opinions and views on the show, video game, or whatever it is. My Little Pony is no exception. Personally, one of the things I love about this fandom is that you can get into such intense debates about minor details in a show meant for little kids, when you're probably all overthinking it anyways. It's fun to try and delve deeper than even what the creators were thinking and decipher it.

 

Besides, if you don't like the arguments, it's really not too hard to ignore them.
