This is my very first attempt at drawing ponies. In fact it's my fist time drawing anything beyond stick figures for at least 5 years. Please tell me what you think.

First drawing? Wow! Looks amazing! You have some talent there. There are only a few things that need work. One, the wing. I'll assume you know that. The neck seems a little long and the front right hoof looks a little square and unnatural. Still, very nice for a first drawing!

Thank you.Yes I felt bad about leaving the wing like that. It seemed to be the most difficult thing

to get right. I see what you mean about the neck and the

leg.

It's real good for your first time and the only thing that need to adjusted are the portportions but these are the hardest in the begining but other then that really nice

I know. The proportions are a pain to try and get right. Even when using guide lines it's still

really difficult. I hope to get better at this with practice though.

Thats pretty good for your first try, tbh i don't really have the confidence to try and draw ponies as i always seem to worry about getting it right. But maybe some day once i have learned how i could have a go at it.

Oh you will get it wrong the first time. And probably the second and the third, but that's where you

start. You can only get better from there.

Worrying about getting it right is not a problem, it's what makes artists want to improve. Find some tutorials, learn to visualise pony anatomy and start practicing. My biggest obstacle is that I'm too lazy, I don't draw as often as I should.

Dustykatt once said that people have hundreds of pieces of bad art in them, the more you practice and the faster you get them out of you, the sooner you get to the good stuff.

hey! its pretty good for your first time but be mindful that it isn't just about drawing it out, its about getting the shapes and shading down. the shapes of the ponies really help it look a lot more realistic

here is something that could help guide you: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/01/pony-drawing-guides.html

Good luck :).
