Lepidopterophobia: Fear of Butterflies

I've decided my OC has a fear of butterflies. I mean, honestly. Their buggy eyes, ninja-like silence?  Obviously, they're up to no good.

 

Anyway, my first try at drawing my OC, Daydreamer. I'm mostly okay with how it turned out, though I realize I got lazy with the background... what else is new?   Suggestions and feedback is always welcome, I'm still new to this whole pony-art thing. 

 

Off-topic: my brother, who is a freshman in high school, also watches the show, though he's still "in the pony closet." He told me today how he was at school, someone mentioned they watched MLP, and people picked on him, and my brother joined in because "he made bronies look bad..." I have never been so disappointed of my baby brother. I wish I knew how to get through to him, evidently "love and tolerate" doesn't mean anything to him.

That's actually a very good and original trait for a OC.

I have to say you did a good job here, even with the back ground (I didn't even notice)

 

As for your brother, hopefully he realizes what he did and tried to fix it.
