Pony-Themed Hoodies

Hello again everypony!

 

As I mentioned in my introduction, I recently made (with my Mom's help for the sewing) a Scootaloo hoodie for a friend's birthday.

 

I made ears (which stand up when the hood is up) and detachable wings (with snaps - also easily interchangeable between a folded model and a stretched-out model due to this - I just made the folded ones for this friend) and sewed the ears on either side of the hood. The wings were attached to snaps which were in turn sewed onto the back of the shirt.

 

There was no cutie mark because Scootaloo has none, and there was no mane or tail because I was keeping it a little bit subtle.

 

I plan on making a Rainbow Dash hoodie for myself (this time with cutie mark...probably no mane though) as well as other pony-themed ones for friends.

 

I was curious if anyone would be interested in me making more of these...I don't want to sell any more right now, but I was wondering if there would be any interest in a lower cost, more subtle sweatshirt (which can also have a full mane and tail; the ones I am making now just don't).

 

I hope to have pics of my friend modeling the hoodie up soon, but I wasn't able to take any at the party (this means that this thread will be a place for me to show off my shirts).

Alright, I'll try to have pics (or at least a mockup) by the end of the day.

 

Hopefully I'll make the RD hoodie by next weekend and post that too.

 

EDIT: Pix deleted cuz they weren't anywhere near the actual sweatshirt and just looked like crap.

 

Sorry for the crappy sketches; just learning how to use a tablet.These are NOT pics of the sweatshirt, just design sketches. The wings have fewer feathers because it was for Scootaloo (young = fewer?). The thin lines (except as part of the sweatshirt outline) are stitch lines (to make visible indents in the fabric). No cutie marks or mane/tail, as mentioned above, though the RD sweatshirt I will be making will have cutie marks (no mane/tail, once again trying to be somewhat subtle as not quite EVERYBODY in my school knows that I'm a brony).

 

 

Was gonna do zip-up, but it would have cost an extra $10 (or way too much extra work), so I didn't. Hoodie template from somewhere on Google Images.

 

I will post the RD one when it's done (and maybe I will make one for my OC who I am trying to invent?).

Sorry about not updating...making a Fluttershy one for my girlfriend soon, so I'll post pix. Also, the ears are very badly wrong on that sketch, sorry. Imma delete it because of that.

 

Not sure if I will be doing commissions yet; I'll let you know.

 

The Fluttershy one WILL have a cutie mark. Probly won't be making one myself for a couple weeks cuz my Mom got mad at me for going out and buying the Friendship Express DVD and an RD figure...I'll have enough income to justify it soon enough, though.
