"I-I-I'm Splash. I have many mental disorders. It's hard for me to pay attention, so I sit in the back and cry out of misery. Do I know you? I feel like I do...or was I too distracted to notice? Am I being too weird?" the crying pony said. She wiped up her tears again and sniffled.

"Nice to meet you Splash and we haven't met but i tried to talk to you but you were busy crying so i didn't bother you" Flare said with a warm smile. "Anyways im Flare" Flare said as he noticed all the questions she asked but answered them already with one answer.

"Hi, Flare. I'm a bit new. None of my teachers like me. Nopony else does, either. They claim I have lots of disorders, but ADHD is my most serious one. My parents want to treat it, but the medication is nasty. How about you? What do you like to do? Sorry, I don't talk to many ponies..." Splash brightened.

"Well consider me the first pony to like you then" Flare smiled. "I mostly like to play guitar and sometimes i play violin and i sing a little but im usually afraid to sing at all at times" Flare said as he played a short song on the guitar. "In fact music class is the only place i feel like i can sing without being judged" Flare said

"You got her to talk!" Milly said jokingly then walks over to the crying pony "Hey there...um splash is it? i'm MillyMusic, nice to meet you!" Milly said smiling "Do you play a instrument? I play a couple instruments but my favorite is the guitar!" Milly said as she took her seat that was right next to Splash

"You never told me you liked guitar Milly" Flare said excited someone in here likes guitar. "Now whos turn is it to play next" Flare asked looking a Milly and Splash. "How about both of you play together" Flare suggested knowing they would both sound great.

Lyra piped in "That is a great idea Flare. I think that they would harmonize well." She took a breath and paused."So, how bout it girls? If you don't want to thats ok too."

 

Symphonia waited in the corner for them to make their decision. Eventually he had lost interest and wrote down a few notes on his paper just to experiment  a little.

"I loveee guitar! i could play all day!" Milly says to Flash excitedly "Me and Splash sing? sounds good to me! just depends on what Splash says" Milly says looking over to Splash "What do you think Splash?" Milly said wondering how good of a singer Splash is

"I sing much better than I play any instrument, that is, in my opinion," Splash said timidly. "I do prefer art over music, since it is my cutie mark, but my mother signed me up. I told I'm much too old for her to be controlling my life, but she insisted. I would love to sing! That is, if you want to. What do you want to sing?"

Lyra replied to the girls "How about Octavia's Overture? This song is one of my favorites. Also this is a song about a good friend of mine Octavia. This song is also related to the life of a musician trying to make a name for themselves."

 

Symphonia knew the song and thought that it would be a good song to have splash sing. He also wondered to himself if Milly knew how to play the song.

"That is a good idea Lyra" Flare said as he remembered. "But I think I can help with some of the music" Flare said as he grabbed a violin. "Is it ok with I start the instrumental of the song" Flare said as he started to play Octavias Overture. "Im glad Octavia tought me how to play"

"Um, I'm afraid I don't know that song. Could you teach me? I'd love to know it! It sounds good. Um, is there supposed to be a teacher or somepony to supervise this music class?" Splash asked. She had noticed that there were many ponies here but she had failed to recognize a member of the faculty or staff.

"I don't know that one either.. but would love to learn it! don't worry, i'm a fast learner!" Milly says happily thinking how she loves to learn new songs "Is there anything we all know?" "i know a lot of Pinkie Pies songs, she teaches me them all the time..." "My fave is Smile!"

Lyra the teacher says to the firs "Well, if we don't know this song, how about we change it to something we all know? We can always work on the songs we don't know later. Ok, do you gals know the song Giggle at the Ghosties? She pulls out some sheet music from the desk in front of her and hands them a copy of the sheet music.

"Whats a song that you both know" Flare said. "I mean it might be better for both of you to chose a song you both know at least...right Lyra" Flare said as he looked at Lyra. "Anyways why dont you play a song Lyra" Flare said knowing Lyra can sing and play a instrument

"I know that song! My little sister asks me to sing it for her every now and then!" Splash said. "But does everypony else know it? I don't want everypony's attention stolen....I prefer to do a song that everypony knows...if you'd like...I know most of Pinkamena's songs."

"You wont steal any attention Splash I promise that...so the song is giggle at the ghosties then" Flare said as he sat down and waited for them to sing the song. "Sadly I dont know the song so I cant add ant instrumental to the harmony of music" Flare said smiling.

Splash began singing loud and clear. Her voice rose and Milly joined her. Their voices harmonized exceedingly well as the lyrics slid gently but strongly out of their throats. They smiled with pleasure as the song continued into a beautiful duet.

Milly and Splash continue singing until the song is done "That was fun! your voice is so beautiful Splash!!" Milly said smiling "I think we sound good together! Did you teach yourself how to sing Splash?" Milly said looking at Splash then looks over at Lyra "Did you like it Lyra?"

"I thought it was great!!! I really wish that I could listen to more nut we have more things to cover in this class over the course of the next few months." she said in a joyous tone. She wrote down a few notes on how the students were preforming and ansmall list of things that stood out.

 

"Next we will talk about musical influences. Flare, how about you start?"

"Musical Influence...ummm" Flare thought to himself for a bit. "I dont really have an influence in music i just do it to make people happy or to just calm myself...then I started to just play instruments out in the open and sing...then i stopped singing" Flare said

"Well guess i'll go next if thats okay!" Milly thought about it "Well i guess i don't have a musical influence much either...and just play and sing because it makes me happy! even if i'm in the worst mood music will make me happy...so i guess music its self is my influence...you know if that makes any sense" Milly said laughing a bit

"You sing? Do you sing well?" Splash perked up. She loved hearing stallions sing. Their alto voices normally enchanted her, but she hadn't met any good singers since Joy Splatter. But she was over him. He was a jerk. She would never need him again. Joy was probably off with some other pony.

"Well i dont sing much since im a bit embarrassed to sing in front of people but i can if you want me too" Flare said. "I dont know what song i should sing though since i dont sing a lot of songs any song you want me to sing" Flare asked wondering if anyone had a request.

"What about....Rarity's 'art of the dress' song? Oh, wait. That's a girly song. Maybe something from...a recent movie? Anything good that anypony watched? Well, I guess then that I'm not doing much in the way of suggesting...what's your favorite song? You could sing that!" Splash replied.
