How can I improve? (Sigs and stuff)

As some of you may know, I have been really getting into making sigs, primarily for other users. While I have been practicing quite a bit, I feel that there is something missing in my sigs that would make them great. At best, most of them are decent. To see what I have done so far, the link to my sig thread is in my sig.

 

Basically, a lot of them just seem, plain or boring. I want to know of some techniques or tools that I should practice with to make my images stand out more and have more visual appeal. I truly want to get better, I want to know that I am actually good at something. I'd say I am good now, but not great. I know that this stuff takes practice and I am willing to do that (I have tons of free time so I have nothing better to do), but I could be missing some vital things that could make the sigs so much better.

 

Any ideas? My program is Photoshop CS5.

This place is amazing and trust me they have so many things/information to offer. I absolutely love this site and experimenting in Photoshop is the best way.

WOW that site seems perfect! It goes in depth with so many different tools! I think this is just what I needed! If I could bro-hoof this post 2.3 million times, I would take the time to do it.

I told you now to spend sometime reading and experimenting! This going be good and yeah I am very very glad of finding about that site. I would also recommend following some videos on youtube as well. That is how I started to learn but this site has all of the goods.

Well, all you can do is practice. Get some advice from a few siggy makers. Like Airbourne said, go to that site. I don't use photoshop though. I use pixlr. I lost my laptop so now I have a slow computer so I can't download photoshop. I still didn't figure out how to cut the background off pictures on there. Oh well. I still make them good. I'm saying I'm a pro. I'm like beginner but more experienced. XD. Well, I hope you can be a pro soon.

I think you do quite well for Signatures, if you wish to improve you could always practice some tutorials i found it kinda fun a year ago i couldn't even put a basic Square on the page, being self taught is my knowledge to you.
