Envy 6,175 April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 Actually I'm sure I would be very different if I never had the internet. I might have never come out to anybody in real life (Aside from my mom... lol but that's aside from the point as she rejected me), because it was the confidence boost I got from having support on the internet which told me I could do it and everything would be okay. I would still be religious. The internet is the reason I am an atheist. I won't even try to deny it. It was finding out the fact that atheists exist on internet that unlocked the idea in my mind that maybe God doesn't exist. I was never a strong believer, I never had any reason to believe for myself. But I did because my family and community did. But then I came to the internet and it all became clear to me. Another thing is that chances are I wouldn't play the bassoon. I might be wrong on this one, however, I do know that the internet was what taught me what one was and what got my want to start playing it. Without it, chances are I would have switched to the clarinet or french horn, neither of which I really like anymore. In which I would have likely quit music in high school or before college. With that said, without the internet I might not be alive right now. lol. Sounds silly, but I'm sure everything else that has happened in my life would have still happened, and without those things I am passionate about - especially music - I'm not sure I would have cared to have gone on. So there's that. The internet is a good thing. It hasn't had a 100% positive effect on me, as now I'm more argumentative. But better to be argumentative than to be gone right? xD Everything needs more woodwind!
