King 5,625 April 8, 2013 Share April 8, 2013 So, an idea popped in my head from a former forum I was on... We all love a little bit of entertainment every now and then. And Podcasts are a great form of entertainment in my humble opinion. So how about an official MLP Forums Podcast be created? It would be a wonderful way for members to be entertained and listen to some of the well known members here on the forum. I've had experience in a podcast I was on before and it was astoundingly fun, you just need some dedicated people who are willing to edit the podcast and keep it all nice and clean for people to listen. It could easily be done over skype with a call recorder and then all you would need is an opening theme (title sequence I suppose) and a closing one. You could have say 2 people who occur regularly, probably the editor and someone else, then have maybe 2 guests each week. Its great fun and provides entertainment for the community And if we dont have one, we could create an official MLP Forums Youtube to post them on. As time goes one we could even expand it into a news and gaming podcast, or just let them have their own separate shows. While this does take a little work and dedication, it's worth it in the end, I can tell you that 2 Goddamn right, you should be scared of me Twitter
Killian Jones 2,655 April 8, 2013 Share April 8, 2013 What you need to do is figure out what to do with the podcast, how are you going to create content, it's a wonderful idea, but very broad. You need to decide on format first. What are the main things you want to talk about, and you have to do this with audio only (you can provide show notes later, but usually not worth it). So all you show is audio. Then before you start, you have to prepare and edit this content so it can easily be dropped into the podcast. Secondly, good equipment, not many have good enough equipment. So anyone being on the podcast needs good enough equipment to do so. It is a good idea, but plan this out well, in Creative Resources forums. And you need to be aware of having to do a lot of pre production and post production if you are working on it. Be very weary of this. If you want to make a good podcast.
