I need creative help with my Ponysona

So I've been a brony for a couple of years- since shortly after season 1's finaly aired- and I have yet to create a ponysona. I've spent the whole two years trying but for a long time I coulndn't even get an idea. I made some OCs, like SkyWard (ward as in 'protective ward') but none are really... me. I've kinda gotten a concept lately, based around my tendancy for constant daydreaming (sort of 'head in the clouds') but every name I think of has been used. CloudDreamer turned out to be a female unicorn from G1, Sky Dream was used by someone on DeviantArt and CloudyDaze... turned out to be the name of a Cheech and Chong drug movie. Also I think there's a brony using that one too. I have therefore decided to suppliment my lack of naming creativity by asking other bronies for ideas. I've seen some interesting names out there so I figure there's gotta be someone who can help. Alternatively, I'm also I'm an introvert and sometimes I can be a bit like a male Fluttershy. Her intro scene was deffinately quite familiar. So, any ideas?

I woundn't worry so much about the name being repeated, except if your name is Dusk or Dawn or Something-Star, in that case you should get a new name becouse there's like a million of those.

 

You could stay with any of those names in my opinion, or you could go the other way around, calling him something like "Focus" as a joke, maybe you could have a nickname that everyone knows to the point they don't remember your real name (Becouse maybe your name is kinda hard to pronounce or maybe you don't like your name, who knows?) there's a lot of things you can do with that, but if you are dead set on going on a normal name maybe you should look for synonyms of "distracted".

Yeah. I don't really care about using mainstream words for a name. My suggestion in making an OC is to write his/her back story. It always helps to form the OC. Back story determines the personalities, dreams, fears, and hopes of the OC. Use the name as well. The name can be a good clue to write the back story. I named my Ponysona "Sky Warden" because he spent his foal-hood watching the sky, for some reasons. More details can be found on his page, link on my signature.

Sky Warden is right. I don't have an OC or a Ponysona, but I have crafted characters for RPs and my own characters before and the best way to come up with a name if you're stuck is to just develop their backstory and personality first and then come up with a name.

 

Although since your character is based off of yourself, that may not work since technically you are your character's backstory and personality  Perhaps reading more about names or researching your own personality traits can help you come up with a name.

So I took out the 'head in the clouds' reference but I think it still works with the cutiemark I have designed, a cloud in the shape of a thought bubble. I suppose I should throw the avatar I made of it up here. After I adjust the eye colour.
