So I was sitting at my desk during first period at school, when suddenly this crazy idea hit me like a freight train: "What would happen if I combined "Mad Max" with MLP?" This is the end result, attained after about 2 1/2 hours. Still a little rough, but whatever...

 

Just in case anyone was wondering, the car is a 1972 Holden HQ Monaro (the Nightrider's car from "Mad Max").

How is this possible, a image such as this deserves the highest recognition from the supreme overlord of the Dolphin King, but since he cannot type, read or do anything of any importance, Bender Rodriguez is here to give his general approval of this drawing.

 

What can one say about this image? It speaks, it breathes, it moves the unmovable... It is a gateway to imagination.... not only a gateway to imagination of the artist, for the viewer as well. It deeply projects all that is questioned and throws it on a plate and says: "Take a bit out of reality!". Bender is not only moved by this piece, but envies it in such a way that even being in the presence of such a image inspires Bender to not only refer to himself in third person, but to fear and respect not only Rainbow Dash, but the 1972 Holden HQ Monaro as well.

 

Job well done President Carter. I would be that guy and say you spelled "Nightrider" wrong, but who am I kidding? I cannot spell worth a tipped over trash can burning in a ally filled with rabies-invested rats who feed of the dead remains of weasels and weasel accessories. 

 

Pave the road to the future with the gravel from the past to ensure a nice, smooth ride my good sir.

Mad Max is awesome, Ol' Mel before he went totally batshit! I also Love Mad Max 2 a lot. I went as the road warrior for halloween a few years back. More Mad Max Ponies!

That's a really great sketch! It's been so damn long since I've seen Mad Max, though I'm a bit disinclined to watch it again, now that I know what kind of person Mel Gibson is. Also, I love Dash's expression.

Thanks! I just watched the movie again last night. I prefer to remember Mel as he was, not as he is.

I think what I'm going to do after Max's interceptor (AJ's probably going to be in that one)  will be either the Mazda Bongo van that gets obliterated near the beginning or the '59 Impala along with the biker gang that trashes it.
