I'm lost!

Alright. So I'm still kinda new to this site. I've had an account for about maybe like two weeks now. But I'm still trying to find my way around. I see there like different places to post different topics but I'm not exactly sure what thy all mean. Can somepony please explain them to me?

 

Like, where would I post question about cosplays and stuff? A few friends and I are going to a con later this year and have absolutely NO idea where to start. 

And also I have an idea for a fanfiction but I don't know if the idea is any good or if its already been written and I'd like some input on that...so....yeah. I'm totally lost here.

About the different sections:

There is one for almost everything... and yea, it´s kinda confusing, but there´s place for that, I think.

For example, if you wanna do a cosplay, create a costume you can go to the "octavias hall"- section, that is where all kind of art, including drawings, poetry, costumes and much more goes, you can request or show others what you are doing or ask for help ;D.

Same goes for fanfiction, octavia´s hall is the place for you to post about an idea you might have, there are lots of amazing people who´d like to help, me included xD.
